MSI Aegis RS 13th review: a champion gaming PC

(Credit: Jackie Thomas / The Shortcut)

The best gaming PCs, if you choose to buy a pre-built one, need to actually be well-built. The MSI Aegis R3 is a perfect example. This is a well-built gaming PC that could easily pass as a computer you’ve built yourself. The cable management, component selection and even the RGB lighting is all incredible for the space – especially if you’re not willing to drop top dollar on a boutique machine from a company like Maingear.

It is a bit on the pricey side, though, with the configuration I reviewed here costing a hefty $2,999. That comes with the Nvidia RTX 4080, an Intel Core i7, 16GB of RAM and a 2TB SSD. However, when you look at the price of all of those parts combined, you’re not really paying a heck of a lot for MSI to put it all together for you.

If you’re not one to shove one of the best CPUs into a motherboard to build your own rig, and don’t want to carry around one of the best gaming laptops, the MSI Aegis RS 13th might just be the way to go.

The Shortcut is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

B&H Photo and Video: MSI Aegis RS

The first thing I did with the MSI Aegis RS 13th was run it through the same benchmark suite that I run my gaming laptops through. Then, I moved the gaming PC over into my room and made it my everyday gaming machine for about a week.

In that time, not only did I play a whole bunch of games, including the new Witcher 3 update, Cyberpunk 2077 and a modded install of Skyrim; But I also used it as my work machine. That includes a wide range of workloads, from web browsing to heavy-duty photo and video editing.

(Credit: Jackie Thomas / The Shortcut)

I’ve been reviewing gaming PCs and all of their associated parts for the better part of the last decade, and have been a PC enthusiast for most of my life. I’ve built PCs for everyone I know, and at this point I can spot a shoddy PC build in the blink of an eye.

My only goal with these reviews is to let you know whether a gaming PC is worth your time and money. I’m less interested in what a gaming PC does for the industry and more interested in whether it’s, well, a good gaming PC.

The MSI Aegis RS 13th is equipped with hardware that’s capable of 4K gaming – more on that in the performance section – but where it really shines is in 1440p gaming. That’s where I put it to the test once I moved the machine to my “everyday” desk, where I have a 1440p gaming monitor; rather than the lab, which is equipped with a 4K display.

I could talk all day about the virtues of 1440p gaming, but when you do it with a powerful gaming PC like this, you’re able to get amazing image quality along with super high frame rates. Pretty much every game I play on this display is capable of high refresh rates.

The MSI Aegis RS 13th launched on November 25, 2023, with the RTX 4080 and RTX 4090. However, the PC will be updated with the recently-launched RTX 4070 Ti for a slightly lower price. At the time of writing, this model was listed as a preorder, with no solid release date. It will likely be launching within the next month or so.

If you want to grab the model I reviewed here, though, you should have no problem ordering it.

(Credit: Jackie Thomas / The Shortcut)

The MSI Aegis RS 13th that’s up for preorder with the RTX 4070 Ti is the most affordable version of the desktop right now. That model will set you back $2,499. If you want the gaming PC equipped with an Nvidia RTX 4080, one of the best GPUs, that will cost you $2,999.

You can further increase the spec to 32GB of RAM for $3,099, and I’d recommend doing so. Games and creative apps are using more RAM than ever these days, and the extra memory for just $100 more isn’t a bad deal. Especially when you consider that Apple charges $400 to upgrade from 16GB to 32GB on the Mac mini.

If you were to buy all the parts in the review config on your own, it would cost about $2,778, according to PCPartPicker. That’s not bad for a PC with a list price of $2,999. That means you’re paying MSI about $221 to build the PC for you, which is worth it if you aren’t comfortable building it yourself.

Luckily, all the parts are available on the store shelf, so you could actually build this exact PC if you wanted to.

(Credit: MSI)

It wouldn’t be a prebuilt PC if it didn’t come with any pre-installed software, and the MSI Aegis RS 13th comes with MSI Center. It’s an all-in-one app that has software monitoring, RGB customization and other goodies all baked in.

What makes MSI Center actually good is that it doesn’t install everything right away. The first time you open it, it’ll walk you through a setup process that asks what you’ll be using the computer for and suggests relevant software for you to install.

This is a good approach. It means that if you’re the type that wants a barebones Windows 11 installation you can pretty much get that. And, if you need MSI to hold your hand through updates and such, you can get that experience too. More choice is always good, and MSI has improved a lot here.

(Credit: Jackie Thomas / The Shortcut)

The MSI Aegis RS 13th is built using all off-the-shelf PC components, which means that it looks exactly like a PC you’d build yourself. It’s using the MSI MPG Gungnir 120R case, which is absolutely gorgeous. It has plenty of space for airflow in the front, even though it uses a mostly solid front plate.

It’d be even better if it was a mesh front panel, but this allows for a sleeker aesthetic. The case is paired with RGB fans, three in the front, two on the radiator on the top of the case and one in the back. Coupled with RGB lighting on the water cooling block, and there’s no shortage of bling on this PC.

If you want to get inside the case, all you need to do is remove two thumb-screws in the back of the case and slide the tempered glass side panel off. From there, you’ll have access to everything in the PC except for the modular power supply, which is under another panel. That’s relatively easy to remove, though, and the computer comes with extra PSU cables should you need them.

The top of the case has plenty of ports, too, with two USB-A, one USB-C and separate audio input/output ports – it’s more than enough, considering all the ports on the back of the computer.

MSI Aegis RS 13th benchmarks:

  • Cinebench R23 multi-core: 25,171

  • Cinebench R23 single-core: 2,090

  • PCMark 10 Modern Office: 9,414

  • 3DMark Night Raid: 91,243

  • 3DMark Speed Way: 7,138

  • CrystalDiskMark sequential read: 3,000 MB/s

  • CrystalDiskMark random read: 723 MB/s

  • Cyberpunk 2077 (4K, RT Ultra DLSS Performance): 81 fps

  • Cyberpunk 2077 (1080p, RT Ultra DLSS Performance): 113 fps

  • Dirt 5 (4K, max settings, RT shadows): 112 fps

  • Dirt 5 (1080p, max settings, RT shadows): 213 fps

(Credit: Jackie Thomas / The Shortcut)

The MSI Aegis RS 13th I reviewed is equipped with an Nvidia RTX 4080 and an Intel Core i7-13700KF. Individually, these are incredibly powerful components and together they make for one of the best gaming experiences you could ask for. This gaming PC can run all the best PC games, maxed out, at any resolution you want.

For instance, it got a whopping 112 fps in Dirt 5 at 4K with max settings and ray tracing. Lower that resolution to 1080p, and that framerate goes all the way up to 213 fps. Not bad for a game with ray tracing.

In Cyberpunk 2077, I saw 81 fps at 4K and up to 113 fps at 1080p with DLSS enabled– though at the lower resolution you’re running into CPU bottleneck issues.

Those are two of the most visually impressive PC games around right now, and the MSI Aegis RS 13th just chews through them.

Plus, with a Cinebench score of 25,171 you know that this PC will have no problem with video editing or other creative use-cases.

  • ✅ You want a great 4K gaming PC

  • ✅ You don’t want to build a PC yourself

  • ✅ You don’t want to buy a fancy boutique PC build

  • ❌ You’re comfortable building your own PC

  • ❌ You don’t want to pay RTX 4080 prices

  • ❌ You’d rather have a gaming laptop

Computer mouse

If your old computer mouse has stopped working, choose a new replacement mouse from the wide selection available for purchase. Choose from an assortment of brands and styles to find the right mouse to fulfill your personal needs. Walgreens.com even has a wide selection of bright colors from bright green to blue to pink.

Battery-powered mouse

If you need a new mouse for your desktop or notebook computer, try an optical mouse. This type of computer mouse does not need a cord, so you do not have to worry about cords getting tangled or knocking things over on your desktop as you work. The wireless mouse has a sleep mode that turns it off when it is not being used to prolong the life of its batteries. This kind of mouse does not require any type of software; it is ready for use as soon as it is turned on. You can purchase a battery-powered computer mouse in a variety of colors to suit your individual style.

Corded mouse

If you do not like using the touchpad on your laptop, notebook, or netbook, purchase a mini mouse. A corded mini mouse often has a retractable cord that makes it easy to store in a laptop bag when it is not in use. The USB-powered mouse plugs into an available USB port on your laptop, so you will not have to worry about replacing batteries in your mouse. This type of computer mouse has three buttons and a scroll wheel just like any other kind of mouse.

What You Need to Know

  • Preparing for Pet Mice
  • Training Pet Mice

Mice are entertaining indoor pets. They’re easy to take care of because they create few demands. You can quickly train them to be disciplined and how to handle food while they are still young. Before choosing a pet mouse, however, there are some things you need to know.

There are numerous things to consider before bringing pet mice home.

Housing. Mice live in small groups and require cages. Housing mice requires you to separate the males, as they need their own space. Unfamiliar males tend to fight.

Pet mouse housing should be made of a wire cage with a plastic tray floor. Wooden floors can absorb urine and become smelly. Use a solid, secure floor to prevent mice from escaping and prevent injuring their feet. Don’t use a cage with a wire mesh floor.

Two mice will need an enclosure measuring 60 centimeters long by 50 centimeters wide by 30 centimeters tall. The height will create more space for the mice to stand upright.

You should “mouse-proof” your house before you get your new pets. Your windows should always remain shut to avoid mice escaping. Keep your house free of any fragile objects that your mice could knock over. Always watch your children if you allow your mice to roam around the house to avoid accidents.

Health care. Before acquiring pet mice, consult your vet and ask about anything you may need. Your mice should be monitored for obesity, tumors, overgrown teeth, or respiratory issues. Your vet can also tell you whether your mice need spaying or neutering. They don’t require any vaccinations.

Supplies. Before your mice come home, make sure that you have some essential supplies and resources. These include:

  • Enclosure
  • Litter box
  • Secure mouse carrier
  • Food dish
  • Water dish
  • Drip bottle
  • Bedding
  • Exercise wheel
  • Hidey-hole

Diet. Mice are omnivorous and can feed on plant and animal products. Commercial food pellets are available, Provide a mixture of meats and vegetables in their diet that contains essential nutrients for your mouse.

The mixture you choose should have seeds, grains, pulses, and some meat, such as dried mealworms. You can also add some fruits like strawberries and grapes. Small amounts of boiled eggs, dog biscuits, dried herbs, and millet seed spray can serve as treats for your pet mice. Also, avoid fats and oils of seeds and nuts

Mice do things their way and will need your assistance in managing their behaviors and discipline. Training your pet mouse will involve numerous factors.

Behavioral training. Mice are not used to handling and may bite you. With time, however, you can train them on acceptable behaviors and tame them.

Allow your mice to become acquainted with their new environment. Also, start talking to them quietly, and they will become used to your voice.

When you bring new mice into the cage, first separate them to avoid fighting among themselves. You can then slowly introduce the new mice to the others, and with time they will become fond of each other.

Toilet training. Young mice can be difficult when it comes to managing their waste. You can slowly train your mice to use a litter box by placing their waste in it and having them smell it. Check for places where the mice usually go to the bathroom and put the litter box there. Encourage the mice to use the litter box by giving them a treat once they go in the right place.

Other tips. Train your mice about places and objects they should avoid. Use treats as a means of encouraging them to not go to certain areas. You can also use bitter-apple-scented sprays on items the mice should not touch. Mice dislike this odor and will avoid any substance that smells like it.

You can also use a hissing tone to discourage your pet mice from going to some places. Once you do this regularly, the pet will become disciplined and avoid the forbidden areas.

Handling pet mice requires intensive training. Give treats every time your pet does the right thing. This will generate positive reinforcement. Always watch for any changes in behavior and consult your veterinarian when necessary.

Train your pet mice while they are young, and as they grow they will effectively adapt to the changes. Encourage your pet to socialize with your kids. This can help prevent your mice from biting your children.

Mouse test online – Genie – Computer Repair

Back to the list of tools

Mouse test will help you determine the functionality of buttons, false double clicks. In the event of a false double-click slipping, the problem lies in the microswitch of the button. If the mouse is budget, then the most logical thing would be to replace it with a new one, for example, buy it in our store, but if the mouse is gaming and is of value to you, it can be repaired. The microswitch can be ordered in China, or we will replace it in our technical center and your mouse will be like new!

Online mouse check

Hover your mouse cursor over the drawn mouse. Check pressing the left, right mouse button, press the mouse wheel, scroll the wheel up, swipe the wheel down. Make a double click with the left mouse button. All clicks must be clearly recorded by our online mouse test. Double click should not skip when trying to press a key once. Scrolling in one direction should not abruptly switch to the other side.

How to clean a mouse

You will need – Cotton swabs, an alcohol solution or Cleaner, a microfiber cloth, a can of compressed air.

  1. Disconnect the mouse from the computer to avoid a short circuit on the USB port (very unlikely indeed)
  2. Spray the alcohol solution onto a tissue and wipe the entire body of the mouse completely. Pay special attention to the legs along the edges of the bottom of the mouse.
  3. Use a cotton swab to clean the mouse sensor window (where the red light glows when the mouse is on).
  4. Use rubbing alcohol and microfiber to clean the mouse cable (if it is not a wireless mouse).
  5. Use a can of compressed air to blow out the space between the mouse wheel and the body, dust often accumulates there and interferes with the operation of the wheel’s optical sensor.

Mouse wheel shakes

If, when scrolling in one direction, you experience jitter or page scrolling in the other direction, the scroll wheel optocoupler is to blame. First, try blowing out the dust in the hole between the wheel and the case. If this does not work out, the mouse will have to be disassembled. Unscrew the body bolts (on wired mice they are usually at the bottom, sometimes under glued plastic legs, on wireless mice under the cover where the battery is located.) Remove the top part to gain access to the mouse wheel and two sensors to the right and left of the wheel. Make sure that the holes inside the wheel are clean, free of damage and dirt. Clean the wheel and sensors if contaminated with alcohol and blow with air. Assemble the mouse in reverse order.

Online touchpad test

If you are a laptop user and want to test the touchpad, touchpad, touchpad – you can use our test. Test the left mouse button press on the sensor by quickly touching the center of the sensor, also test the buttons below the sensor (left and right). Check the operation of the double click by quickly pressing the center of the sensor twice. If you need to check the operation of the touch screen on a phone or tablet screen, use our touch screen test

  • Cinebench R23 single-core: 2,090

  • Dirt 5 (1080p, max settings, RT shadows): 213 fps

    Update 11.9 changes

    Authorsmom cat, shio shoujo

    • Copied to clipboard

Flowers are blooming outside the window and birds are chirping, which means that our favorite time of the year has come – the middle of the season!

There are a lot of changes today, so there will be a short summary first. First, we’re hitting tanks and nerfing Reactive Chemical Armor, as well as buffing a few unpopular Warrior items (Dance of Death and Mind Death). Next, ahead of MSI, we want to shake up the pro meta a bit by making it more diverse. Some audience favorites like Gragas will step out of the spotlight, while our old friends Shen and Lulu will return to the stage.

In the last update, we overdid some champions with buffs, and now they are terrorizing the Rift. Diana and Morgana, who are too firmly established in the forest thanks to their newfound strength, will become slightly weaker, although they will not lose their relevance in this role. The same goes for the red reaper and the purple mountain of meat in their respective positions.

What else? We’ve updated how Taric interacts with some champions. Now, when they disappear from the map, they lose the benefits received from his skills. In Viego’s arsenal, there are much fewer mistakes. And the 2nd split will start soon. We wish everyone good luck in conquering the ranking peaks!

That’s it! See you in the next article.

Teamfight Tactics is entering the Versus season, so be sure to read the TFT patch notes before the Convergence is consumed by the black mist!

DWG Gene, DWG Nidalee, DWG Kennen, DWG Leona, DWG Twisted Fate and Conqueror Jax (Regular Edition and Prestige Edition) will be available in the store on April 29, 2021.

    Diana

Armor gain and health regen reduced. The bonus attack speed from Moonblaze Blade (Passive) has been reduced at low levels.

After the passive skill buffs in 11.8, Diana took the lead in the mid lane and jungle. Players love Diana the jungler, so we’re only slightly reducing her clear speed and survivability in lane.

    Key stats

    ARMOR GAIN 3.6 ⇒ 3.1

    HEALTH REGENERATION 7.5 ⇒ 6.5

    Moonblaze Blade (Passive)

BONUS ATTACK SPEED 20-40% (based on level) ⇒ 15-40% (based on level)

    Dr. Mundo

Armor and attack power gains reduced.

After buffing in 11.8, Mundo made a triumphant return to the top lane. However, at the late stage of the match, playing against him becomes unbearable – it is almost impossible to break through his purple skin. We’re making additional adjustments to reduce his survivability and strength so that enemies can do something with him.

    Main stats

    ARMOR BOOST 3.5 ⇒ 3.

    ATTACK DAMAGE BOOST 3.5 ⇒ 3.

    Garen

Bravery W bonus stats reduced; The maximum number of charges has been increased.

Garen gains W stacks with ease, making him quickly unkillable. We’re pushing back Garen’s survivability spike so that his power curve runs more smoothly after purchasing a Mythic item.

    Courage [W]

BONUS PROTECTION STATS 0.25 armor and magic resistance per stack ⇒ 0.2 armor and magic resistance per stack

    MAX STACKS 120 ⇒ 150

Gragas now poses a triple threat at the professional level of the game – he is taken to the jungle, and to the support role, and to the top lane. So we are nerfing one of his most important lane skills.

    E Ram

    BASE DAMAGE 80/130/180/230/280 ⇒ 80/125/170/215/260

    Hecarim

Armor reduced; armor gain increased. Rampage’s [Q] damage increase per stack has been reduced and now scales with additional attack damage. Dread Aura W now heals for damage dealt and scales with attack power. Damage of Destructive Rush [E] has been reduced.

Hecarim is still galloping all over the meta, which is why he gets banned more often than others. And if he does get to the match, the players usually collect him in a tank. To address both issues in one fell swoop, we’re reducing his burst damage and early game survivability. We also encourage players to build it with a focus on damage rather than defense.

    Main stats

    ARMOR 36 ⇒ 32.

    ARMOR GAIN 4 ⇒ 4.25

    Q Rampage

    DAMAGE PER STACK 5% ⇒ 2% (+1% per 33 additional attack damage)

    Aura of Horror [W]

removedDAMAGE HEALING Hecarim no longer heals for 30% of the damage taken by enemies in the area of effect.

newHEATED HORSE Hecarim now heals for 30% (+1% per 40 bonus AD) of the damage he deals to his target. He also heals for 15% (+1% per 80 bonus AD) of the damage dealt by his allies.

    E-Destructive Rush

    MINIMUM BASE DAMAGE 35/65/95/125/155 ⇒ 30/50/70/90/110

    MAX BASE DAMAGE 70/130/190/250/310 ⇒ 60/100/140/180/220

    Heimerdinger

Hextech Micro Missile [W] initial damage reduced at high skill levels.

Heimerdinger is too strong in the top, middle and bottom lanes at high levels of play. So you have to loosen it up.

    Hextech Microrockets [W]

    INITIAL ROCKET DAMAGE 50/80/110/140/170 ⇒ 50/75/100/125/150

    MAXIMUM MISSILE DAMAGE 90/144/198/252/306 ⇒ 90/135/180/225/270

    Jinx

Fixed a bug related to the critical proc of Spin and Spin! [Q].

Jinx’s flare gun dealt much more splash damage than it should. Now the problem is solved – but since this fix will significantly affect the power of Jinx, we decided to write about it separately.

    I twist and turn! [Q]

SECONDARY CRITICAL ROCKETS DAMAGE (BUG FIX) 200% ⇒ 175% (Primary target damage unchanged at 175%)

    Cain

Deathstroke [Q] damage modifier in Darkin form increased.

The Twilight Assassin overshadowed the Darkin, so we decided to bring this aspect of Cain out of the shadows.

    Q Death Slash

DAMAGE MODIFIER DARKIN 55% total attack damage ⇒ 65% total attack damage

    Kindred

Arrow Dance [Q] cooldown reduced; base damage increased at higher skill levels.

Kindred still doesn’t fare well in the jungle, so we’re giving them a more tangible power boost in the mid game.

    Dance of Arrows [Q]

    COOLDOWN 9 seconds ⇒ 8 seconds

    BASE DAMAGE 60/80/100/120/140 ⇒ 60/85/110/135/160

    Kog’Maw

The defense reduction from Caustic Spit [Q] has been increased. Void Slime’s mana cost has been reduced.

Kog’Maw now spends more time in hibernation than in the bottom lane, so we decided to increase the level of slime in his blood. In addition, it will now be easier for him to burn through enemies that stand in his way . .. or in the path of his spit.

    Caustic Spit [Q]

    DEFENSE REDUCTION 20/22/24/26/28% ⇒ 25/27/29/31/33%

    E Void Slime

    mana cost 80/90/100/110/120 ⇒ 60/70/80/90/100

    Lulu

Cooldown time of Quirk [W] reduced; Bonus attack speed when cast on an ally is increased at low skill levels.

Buffing W-Quirk so Lulu can do more early-game wonders.

    W whim

    COOLDOWN 16/15/14/13/12 seconds ⇒ 15/14/13/12/11 seconds

BONUS ATTACK SPEED ON ALLY 20/23.75/27.5/31.25/35% ⇒ 25/27.5/30/32.5/35%

    Morgana

Tormented Shadow’s W damage against non-epic monsters has been reduced.

We still think Morgana is a great jungler, but her buff in 11.8 was overkill, so we’re rolling it back a bit.

    Tormented Shadow [W]

    DAMAGE TO MONSTERS 200% ⇒ 185%

    Rumble

Bonus damage on hit while overheated reduced.

Rumble burns in the mid lane – especially against squishy melee champions. We’re nerfing its overly reliable source of damage so enemies have a chance to cool off the yordle’s ardor.

    Scrap Titan (Passive)

BONUS HIT DAMAGE DURING OVERHEAT 10-50 (+30% ability power) ⇒ 5-40 (+25% ability power)

    Sett

Puzzle [W] damage ratio increased. Signature Move damage ratio [R] increased.

Changes in Patch 10.18 reduced the effectiveness of Sett’s purely defensive builds, causing him to lose power in the mid lane, jungle, and support role. Since he has become less flexible, we can increase his damage.

    Puzzle [W]

DAMAGE RATIO 10% per 100 bonus attack damage ⇒ 20% per 100 bonus attack damage

    R Signature Move

    BONUS ATK DAMAGE RATIO 100% ⇒ 120%

    Shen

Shoulder to Shoulder [R] shield durability reduced; now scales from bonus health.

If Shen has no ability power, his ultimate is more like a bubble than a shield, making him unable to effectively defend fragile allies in the late game. We’re adding another multiplier so that the shield’s durability can scale properly and Shen doesn’t offend his teammates at the end of the match.

    Shoulder to Shoulder [R]

    MIN SHIELD 175/350/525 (+135% ability power) ⇒ 140/320/500 (+17.5% bonus health) (+135% ability power) ).

    MAX SHIELD 280/560/840 (+216% ability power) ⇒ 224/512/800 (+28% bonus health) (+216% ability power)

    Taric

Mana cost of Touch of the Stars [Q] is reduced at high skill levels. Updated interaction with Master Yi.

We reduce the mana cost of our gem knight.

    General Changes

INTERACTION WITH A LINKED ALLY as its associated allied champion is not on the map, these skills are no longer applied from an ally after they spawn (for example, that ally cannot stun enemies with [E] because the skill is only applied from Taric). Examples of skills during which the champion disappears from the map: Descent [E] Eliza, First Strike [Q] Master Yi.

    Touch of the Stars [Q]

    mana cost 70/80/90/100/110 ⇒ 70/75/80/85/90

    Trundle

Pillar of Ice E slow increased at low skill levels.

In Patch 8.18, we reduced the amount of slow from Trundle’s Pillar, making it harder for him to ambush and trap enemies. Additional changes in update 10.2 did not improve the situation much. Therefore, we are again making adjustments to make it easier for the troll to catch enemies that have wandered into his domain.

    Pillar of Ice

    20/30/40/50/60% SLOW ⇒ 32/39/46/53/60%

    Vladimir

Transfusion [Q] cooldown increased at higher skill levels.

The latest buff turned Vladimir back into a scaling monster – but the result is he’s more ferocious than we intended. We are partially rolling back the changes from update 11.8 in order to reach the golden mean.

    Transfusion [Q]

    RELOAD 9/7.75/6.5/5.25/4 seconds ⇒ 9/7. 9/6.8/5.7/4.6 seconds

    Xerath

Damage of Magic Discharge [Q] increased. The base damage of the Eye of Destruction [W] is increased at high skill levels.

Our main energy shooter is currently in an incomprehensible state – players prefer to take him as a support. We’re changing Xerath’s scaling to benefit more from leveling up and accumulating gold, so he can now return to the mid lane.

    Magic Bolt [Q]

    DAMAGE 80/120/160/200/240 (+75% ability power) ⇒ 70/110/150/190/230 (+85% ability power)

    Eye of Destruction [W]

    BASE DAMAGE 60/90/120/150/180 ⇒ 60/95/130/165/200

    CENTER BASE DAMAGE 100.02/150.03/200.04/250.05/300.06 ⇒ 100/158.4/216.7/275/333.3

    Dead man’s armor

Many champions – including tanks, warriors, and juggernauts – are very fond of buying Dead Man’s Armor as a second item. We’re reducing the health the item provides to highlight its unique mobility passive.

    HEALTH 400 ⇒ 300.

    Dance of Death

The Dance of Death cannot be compared in strength to its counterparts, so we are increasing its parameters.

    ATTACK DAMAGE 50 ⇒ 55

    ARMOR 40 ⇒ 45

    Healing Moonstone

Since the 11.8 fixes, Moonstone is now weaker than other support items, so we’re returning some of its strength to its base heal. This change is doubly welcome given that the item now also increases the effectiveness of healing and shields.

Treatment of gifts of stars 60
We’re changing the targeting behavior for the Hunter’s Claw active effect, as it was previously difficult to activate in some situations. We’re not increasing the actual range of the item, but now if you miss your target in the midst of a combo, Hunter Talon will still likely find the target.

updated DESERT WIND TARGET The effect targets an enemy directly under the cursor ⇒ The effect seeks targets in the following order: nearest champion within 50 range of cursor, nearest non-champion within 50 range of cursor, nearest champion within 200 units of the cursor, the nearest non-champion fighter within 200 units of the cursor.

    Solar Flame Aegis

We all remember the times when the sun was brighter, and all the inhabitants of the Gorge were afraid of its flame. But everything changed when the era of chemical armor came. We kindle the fire of the Aegis so that it will destroy the enemies again.

    100% BONUS DESTROY DAMAGE ⇒ 150% MONSTERS

Crest of the Forgefire (Ornn Enhancement)

BONUS EXPIRED DAMAGE TO MONSTERS 100% ⇒ 150%

    Reactive chemical armor

Reactive Chemical Armor made it easier for junglers to initiate fights and set up ambushes while moving around the map at super speeds. It’s time to do something about it.

    BONUS MOVEMENT SPEED 60% ⇒ 40%

    Turbocharged Hex Sampler (Ornn upgrade)

    BONUS MOVEMENT SPEED 60% ⇒ 40%

    Death of the Mind

Mind Death is a niche item that doesn’t shine with power even in the right scenarios. We’re tweaking Death’s recipe and increasing the attack power it grants to make it more appealing to more champions.

RECIPION Ax of the Heat Lover + Absorption Cloak + Dagger + 800 gold ⇒ Ax of the Heat Lover + Absorption Cloak + Longsword + 750 gold

    ATTACK DAMAGE 30 ⇒ 40

    • Improved the dropdown in the Item Sets section * Gaining * strength will become even more pleasant.
    • Quick access bars now display elixir cooldowns so you’ll always know when you can buy the most powerful potions.
    • Mythic items no longer appear in the build menu when you already own a tool of that rank. SHOO!
    • If you have Ornn on your team, the shop now displays his items.

    • Fixed a bug due to which Viego did not take over the charges of Kindred and Shyvana’s passive skills.
    • Fixed a bug due to which sometimes when subduing Kled, Viego ended up on Skarl, but received the skills of a dismounted Kled.

    • ✅ You don’t want to buy a fancy boutique PC build

    School supplies, made easy

The success of your students starts with the right supplies. Whether you’re a parent or caregiver with one or more kids in school, or a teacher responsible for an entire classroom, Staples is a one-stop shop for all the school supplies you need. From writing supplies and paper to school tech and furniture, we have everything on your back-to-school list.

    Shop by grade

Staples makes it easy to get exactly what your students need by organizing all the essentials by grade. Shop for preschool supplies like learning toys and rest mats, or elementary school supplies for everything your kids need from kindergarten through 5th grade. Our selection of middle school supplies includes more advanced items like planners and scientific calculators, and you can find everything you need for high school in our high school supplies section. Getting ready for college? From dorm essentials to laptops, get everything you need from our selection of college supplies.

    All the essentials for school

Whether you want to shop by subject or are looking for furniture and supplies for learning at home, we’ve got the right selection. Browse classroom essentials including cleaning supplies, storage, classroom décor, snacks, and teacher supplies. For everything from school art supplies to calculators, binders, school backpacks, lunch boxes and more, we’ve got what your students need to succeed.

    Take a seat

Whether you’re working from home or outfitting a space for gaming, your comfort is dependent on finding the best chair. At Staples, we provide a broad range of office chairs and seating, so you can find the right fit for you. Select from multifunctional task chairs, computer & desk chairs, drafting stools and more. If you will be using your new chair for multiple hours a day, make sure to get an ergonomic office chair to prevent unnecessary strain.

    Comfort, all day long

Office furniture that is the proper size and height makes a big difference. When shopping for chairs, the height of the seat should be adjustable so that the user’s feet can sit flat on the floor with their knees at right angles. Likewise, the accompanying office desk should be at a height where the users’ elbows can sit comfortably at right angles at their sides while typing or writing. Browse our selection to find the combination that’s right for you. If size if a concern, check out our big & tall chairs which can support up to 500lbs.

    Game on

If you’re a gamer, you know that a single gaming session can last all day or night. For the best and most comfortable gaming setup, Staples has gaming chairs in colors and styles for everyone. Make sure to match your new chair to an ergonomic gaming desk, the perfect complement for the high-tech gaming computer and accessories you’ve invested in.

    Show seasonal allergies who’s boss

If you suffer from seasonal allergies, now is when they are at their worst. Stock up on allergy season’s most important products to keep your home, classroom, and office allergen-free. Start with an air purifier to strip the air of allergens like pollen and pet dander and replace existing air filters for improved air quality. Frequently dust, wipe down hard surfaces, and vacuum carpets and furniture to help eliminate pollen tracked in from outside and dander left behind by pets. When leaving the house, check the pollen count and bring a face mask to help filter the air you breath outside.

No matter what you do, it’s unlikely that the symptoms of seasonal allergies can be avoided entirely. Make sure to have over-the-counter cold and allergy medications on hand to battle symptoms, and stock up on facial tissues so you’ll always have one available when you need them.

Spring (Cleaning) is in the air

Spring cleaning and decluttering is a tradition meant to refresh our spaces for the year ahead. Staples has everything you need to clear out the clutter, store and organize your belongings, and all the right cleaning supplies.

    Clear out the clutter

Start by preparing a checklist and make sure you have all the necessary supplies. Use storage bins and a label maker to make sorting and organizing easier. Prepare extra boxes for donations and trash bags for the things you no longer need. Look for decorative boxes & baskets that will compliment your home’s décor and use them to organize. You can also use closet organizers and storage drawers anywhere they are needed.

    Start with the basics

An all-purpose cleaner, cleaning brush and microfiber cloths will clean most surfaces. Use a duster to remove unwanted dirt and furniture polish to revitalize wood surfaces. Upgrade your broom, dustpan, wet mop, and vacuum to make cleaning any type of flooring a breeze.

    The nitty gritty

Spring cleaning doesn’t stop there. There’s so much you can do to reset your home:

    • Improve air quality and eliminate pollen and pet dander with a new air purifier and an air freshener with a scent you love.
    • On a sunny day, take the opportunity to clean your windows – you’ll need glass cleaner, a bucket, a squeegee, and paper towels.
    • Have a step stool or ladder on hand to access hard-to-reach places like the tops of cabinets and overhead lighting.
    • Replace broken light bulbs and check the batteries in your smoke detectors.
    • Use drain cleaner to clear up sink and bathtub drains.

Up your printing game with a Supertank Printer

Rest assured it arrives safely & securely

Whether you are sending business documents or customer products, shipping and mailroom supplies from Staples make the process seamless.

Keep packing supplies ready for easy shipping. Padded envelopes and bubble mailers are perfect for shipping small, non-fragile items. Pack larger items in shipping boxes that are slightly larger than the item, and use packing peanuts, bubble roll, or other packing materials to keep objects from moving in the box during transport. Choose the right packing tape to ensure your packages will stay sealed. Staples carries clear acrylic packing tape for everyday shipping and reinforced or water activated tape for packages that require a heavier duty seal.

Manage the day-to-day office correspondence smoothly with a wide selection of business envelopes, inter-office envelopes, and catalog envelopes in the mailroom. Have finger pads and envelope moisteners on hand for speedy document collation and a quick seal. Choose security envelopes for confidential office correspondence and inter-office communications. If your office or organization sends out large mailings, consider a paper folding machine and self-sealing envelopes to increase efficiency.

Standing just under 3″ (8 cm) tall, this soundbar can fit under most TVs. A high-quality steel wall bracket is included to mount it flush to the wall. And small LED lights on the front indicate when certain features are enabled.

In Dialogue Mode™, the Solo Soundbar Series II makes every word easier to understand — without having to adjust the volume. Simply press the Dialogue Mode button on the included remote to enable. Plus, built-in Dolby decoding creates a richer, more satisfying listening experience with remarkable realism.

Music, podcasts, and more. Listen to what you want, when you want with a Bluetooth connection to your device. Press the Bluetooth button on the remote to pair a device to your soundbar.

A single connection to your TV via an optical audio cable (included) has your Solo Soundbar Series II up and running in minutes.

    FAQs

Why is the sound from the Bose Solo Soundbar Series II better than my TV speakers?

The Bose Solo Soundbar Series II uses unique Bose transducers and proprietary DSP (Digital Signal Processing) technology to bring out audio details that cannot be reproduced by most built-in TV speakers. The result is that you simply hear your TV better.

Can the bass level of the Bose Solo Soundbar Series II be adjusted?

Yes. There is a bass level adjustment located on the remote control.

What TVs are compatible with the Bose Solo Soundbar Series II?

The Bose Solo Soundbar Series II is designed for use with any TV with an optical audio output (most HDTVs and many older “analog” TVs) and can be connected with the included optical cable.

The soundbar can also be connected to TVs with coaxial (RCA) or auxiliary analog (3.5 mm) connections (connection cables not included).

What inputs do the Bose Solo Soundbar Series II support?

The Bose Solo Soundbar Series II has optical, coaxial, and analog (3.5 mm) audio inputs. You will only connect to one of these, depending on what type of output your TV has. It is not possible to “switch” between these different inputs, so only one connection is required.

Can source devices, such as a cable set-top box, phone/tablet, gaming system, etc.

, be connected directly to the Bose Solo Soundbar Series II?

Any device with an optical, analog audio, or coaxial output can be connected to the Bose Solo Soundbar Series II. However, Bose strongly recommends that you only connect the soundbar to your TV’s audio output, so sound and picture will always be in sync.

Is the Bose Solo Soundbar Series II voice-enabled?

    No.

Can I connect either a Bose Bass Module or a non-Bose bass module to the Bose Solo Soundbar Series II?

    No.

Can I connect satellite surround speakers to the Bose Solo Soundbar Series II?

    No.

Can the Bose Solo Soundbar Series II work in multi-room groups with other Bose products like speakers or headphones?

Yes. The Bose Solo Soundbar Series II can play music in synchronized connection with any Bose smart speaker or soundbar: Bose Smart Speaker 500, Bose Home Speakers 450 or 300; Bose Portable Smart Speaker; Bose Smart Soundbar 700 or Bose Soundbar 500; or Bose Soundbar System Bundle, using Bose SimpleSync™ technology. This functionality is being controlled by the smart speaker or smart soundbar using the Bose Music app. You cannot connect a pair of headphones to the Bose Solo Soundbar Series II for synchronized audio/video grouping.

    SUMMARY

The compact Bose Solo is verging on impossible to connect wrongly and is therefore very easy to use. This is due to the lack of settings and functions altogether.

    PLUS
    User friendly.
    Good cohesion in the sound.

    MINUS
    Thin bass.
    Dull treble.
    No settings.
    No bluetooth.

    READ CUSTOMER REVIEWS

There is no bluetooth function, and the Solo is the only sound bar we´ve tested without streaming capability. The remote has only the on/off button and volume control. This makes the Bose Solo foolproof, but also means that it has no settings for the audio. Any display is thus unnecessary.

There is no audio delay at the digital inputs, so the sound is synchronized well. There is plenty of bass, which is well integrated with the rest of the mix. Movie dialog has more dynamics in the midrange than the Philips HTL4110 and Solo spreads the sound nicely, beyond its physical size. ‘Star Trek: Into Darkness‘ can be played at fairly high volume before the action scenes forces the speaker to its knees. Benedict Cumberbatch, aka Khan, has a bass-rich voice that is sufficiently rich, but the Bose is not as rich as the Philips HTL4100 and doesn´t have as distinct overtones. We therefore prefer Philips when we watch movies.

Music in stereo does have a better tonal cohesion and sounds in general a little more natural with Bose, despite the absence of some air at the top.

    Hear what you’ve been missing

New TVs with an ultra-slim design are pleasing to the eye. Unfortunately, there is no room left for good acoustics in the case. Therefore, we often miss quiet dialogues and other details in the sound. The Bose Solo 5 TV system bstore.com.ua/products/bose-solo-5-tv is the simplest solution that, thanks to its innovative technologies, can bring the sound of the TV programs you watch to life. A special “dialogue enhancement” mode will allow you to always hear and understand speech without having to constantly adjust the sound that changes from scene to scene.

Dialogue mode provides improved speech intelligibility.
Wirelessly play music from online services using built-in Bluetooth technology.
Universal remote control allows you to control your TV and other devices.
The speaker system can be placed in front of the TV, on a shelf or mounted on the wall.

    Easy setup

In fact, the concept of “setting” this system is a big word. All you have to do is connect the Bose Solo 5 TV to your TV with one audio cable of your choice: optical, coaxial or analog. The system will determine which connection you have chosen. The ergonomic design of the system allows you to place the system almost anywhere – in front of the TV on a pedestal, on a shelf or even on the wall, using a special mount WB-120 (sold separately).

    Connectivity

    Wired

The HK Gaming Mira-S is an ultra-lightweight, wired gaming mouse with two side buttons on the left and honeycomb cutouts on the top, both sides, and the underside of its body. It’s quite lightweight and feels well-built overall; however, the unit we tested had a slight wobble in the scroll wheel and side-to-side movement in the left- and right-click buttons. That said, it has an ambidextrous shape suitable for all grip types, though large and extra-large hands may find it uncomfortable to use with a palm or claw grip. Performance-wise, you can adjust the CPI by increments of 100 within a broad range. It also has a low lift-off distance and low click latency. However, they’re not as low as on other mice.

    Our Verdict

    7.2

    Office/Multimedia

The HK Gaming Mira-S is decent for office and multimedia work. It feels well-built and has an ambidextrous shape well-suited for all grip types. However, if you have large or extra-large hands, you may find it’s too small to use comfortably with a palm or claw grip. You can also reprogram all of its buttons using the customization software. Unfortunately, it’s a wired-only mouse without any wireless connection options. Also, the scroll wheel lacks L/R tilt options and doesn’t have a free-scrolling mode.

    Pros

    • Feels well-built overall.

    • Comfortable, ambidextrous shape.

    8.3

    Video Games (FPS)

The HK Gaming Mira-S is an impressive mouse for FPS gaming. It feels well-built overall, and it’s lightweight. It has a good quality paracord-like cable with minimal drag and mouse feet that glide very smoothly. Its ambidextrous shape is well-suited for all grip types and most hand sizes; however, the mouse is a bit too small for large and extra-large hands to use a palm or claw grip comfortably. Performance-wise, it has a wide CPI range, and you can adjust the CPI by increments of 100. Its lift-off distance and click latency are also low, but not as low as some mice.

    Pros

    • Feels well-built overall.

    • Good click latency.

    • Quite lightweight.

    • Comfortable, ambidextrous shape.

    7.2

    Video Games (MMO)

The HK Gaming Mira-S is a satisfactory mouse for MMO gaming, but it doesn’t have nearly as many side buttons as a dedicated MMO gaming mouse. Nevertheless, you can reprogram all buttons using the companion software. It also feels well-built overall and has a comfortable, ambidextrous shape well-suited for all grip types and most hand sizes. Performance-wise, it has good click latency and a wide CPI range. Unfortunately, you can only adjust the CPI by increments of 100, and although the lift-off distance is low, some may prefer it lower.

    Pros

    • Feels well-built overall.

    • Good click latency.

    • Comfortable, ambidextrous shape.

    Cons

    • Not nearly as many side buttons as a dedicated MMO gaming mouse.

    • CPI is only adjustable by increments of 100.

    • Scroll wheel lacks L/R tilt buttons.

    Ultra-Light Gaming

The HK Gaming Mira-S is an excellent ultra-light gaming mouse. It’s lightweight and feels well-built overall. It has a decently flexible paracord-like cable with minimal drag and mouse feet that glide very smoothly on mousepads or desks. Its ambidextrous shape is suitable for all grip types and most hand sizes. However, the mouse is too small for large and extra-large hands to use a palm or claw grip comfortably. Performance-wise, it has a wide CPI range, and you can adjust the CPI by steps of 100. It has a low lift-off distance and low click latency, but they’re not as low as some ultra-light gaming mice.

    Pros

    • Feels well-built overall.

    • Good click latency.

    • Quite lightweight.

    • Comfortable, ambidextrous shape.

    5.4

    Travel

The HK Gaming Mira-S is inadequate for travel as it’s bulky and may not fit in most laptop cases. It’s also a wired-only mouse that you can’t connect wirelessly, making it cumbersome to use in tight spaces like buses, trains, or planes. That said, it feels well-built and has a comfortable ambidextrous shape suitable for all grip types and most hand sizes. It also has onboard memory for storing custom settings you can use on computers without installing the customization software.

    Differences Between Sizes And Variants

The HK Gaming Mira-S we tested is the black variant. There are nine other colors available, including White, Black/Orange, Blue Phantom, Serenity, Bumblebee, Lavender, Metallic Blue, Monza, and Rose Quartz color variants. You can see the label for our unit here.

    Compared To Other Mice

The HK Gaming Mira-S is an excellent ultra-lightweight gaming mouse and a smaller version of the HK Gaming Mira-M. The Mira-S and Mira-M share a similar shape with the Logitech G Pro Wireless, making them almost universally suitable for all grip types and hand sizes. Unlike some mice with honeycomb bodies, the Mira-S has cutouts not only on the mouse’s top shell but also along both sides and the underside. Some users may find the cutouts on the sides uncomfortable, but the mouse includes side grip stickers to improve their feel. This mouse also suffers from minor, known quality control issues, including a wobble in the scroll wheel and side-to-side movement in the left- and right-click buttons. While we experienced these issues with our unit, they didn’t affect our tests.

The G-Wolves Hati HT-M Classic Edition and the HK Gaming Mira-S are both excellent ultra-lightweight gaming mice with honeycomb shells and nearly identical weights. The HK Gaming feels sturdier and has better quality mouse feet. It also has a higher CPI range and a more consistent sensor. On the other hand, the G-Wolves has a lower lift-off distance and lower click latency. Both mice are suitable for all grip types and most hand sizes, but the HK Gaming is more suitable for smaller hands, while the G-Wolves is more accommodating to larger hands.

    Finding Store

The Finalmouse Ultralight 2 – Cape Town is a better ultra-light gaming mouse than the HK Gaming Mira-S. The Finalmouse is lighter and has a slightly more flexible cable. It also has mouse feet that glide a bit more smoothly and lower click latency. It doesn’t have customization software and only has four CPI settings, but some users may appreciate this more straightforward approach. On the other hand, the HK Gaming has a wider CPI, a CPI you can adjust by increments of 100, and a higher maximum polling rate. It also has customization software compatible with Windows.

The Razer Viper Ultimate is a better, more versatile gaming mouse than the HK Gaming Mira-S. The Razer connects either wirelessly with its USB receiver or with its charging cable. It has two extra side buttons on the right side, making it a good choice for left-handed gamers. It also has a higher maximum CPI, a more precisely adjustable CPI, a lower lift-off distance, and significantly lower click latency. Comparatively, the HK Gaming is a wired-only mouse. It’s somewhat lighter and has a slightly more consistent sensor. Both mice are suitable for all grip types and nearly all hand sizes. However, the HK Gaming is more accommodating for smaller hands using a fingertip grip.

It has mouse feet that glide more smoothly, a wider CPI range, and a CPI you can adjust by increments of 100. It also has RGB lighting and customization software, both of which the BenQ Zowie lacks. On the other hand, the BenQ ZOWIE has lower click latency. However, it only has four CPI presets. Both mice are suitable for all grip types,  but on the whole, the BenQ ZOWIE is better suited for larger hands, while the HK Gaming is better suited for smaller ones.

Mice in the art of the peoples of the world or the cutest New Year

The most interesting question about 2020 – will it be the Year of the Rat or the Year of the Mouse? All other animals in the Chinese calendar are understandable. Monkey, dragon, pig and so on. What doubts can there be? And here it is not clear. I prefer to think it’s a mouse after all. It’s still impossible to prove otherwise, right? According to legend, the Buddha called all the earthly animals to a council, but only twelve came. As a reward, the teacher gave them immortality and alternate reign. But there were no material traces of that ancient meeting, and there was a rat or a mouse among the participants, no longer recognizable.

But it was a mouse, of course. If it were a rat, it would be she who would become the positive heroine of fairy tales and legends. But rats in all fairy tales are evil, greedy creatures. But the mice – the charm of how good they are. Not without flaws, of course. But in general – nice kind creatures.

    Lucky mouse and forest oppression

Here is another proof that the Year of the Mouse lies ahead. Do you remember the fairy tale “Teremok”? It begins with the fact that there is a teremok in the field, a little mouse runs past, stops and asks “who lives in the teremok?” Notice what a well-bred mouse. He does not break in without asking, but politely asks. And only after making sure that the teremok is empty, he moves into ownerless real estate. And then he hospitably invites everyone who takes it into his head to sit down, although the tower is not rubber. And the frog, and the runaway bunny, and all the rest. Even the bear, who is “the cuddler of everyone”, was not refused, despite the acute housing crisis. And when the clumsy fool, unable to climb inside, sat down on top, and a disaster occurred, and only by a miracle they managed to avoid victims, the founder of the Teremok cooperative, Mouse Norushka, rallied the victims, and together they built a new teremok more beautiful than the previous one.

So, this fairy tale has three dozen versions. Pieces of 15 Russians, 10 more Ukrainians and a few Belarusians. And not everywhere everything starts with a mouse. Somewhere from a fly, somewhere from a flea, somewhere from an ant. But with these characters comes complete nonsense! Some names are worth something. “Skull-terem”, “louse hut”, “forest oppression”. Isn’t it elegant and life-affirming, especially the last option. And only the classic version, starting with a kind and sympathetic mouse, ends well. Without skulls, lice and general forest oppression. And imagine that the rat would be the first to find the teremok. Yes, she would have killed all the uninvited guests, including a wolf, a bear, and even, probably, a dragon.

The lamb mouse is a symbol of homeliness and hospitality. And this is just one example. There are others.

Mrs. Mouse and the unmarried Thumbelina

As you remember, Andersen’s heroine had a hard time. Before marrying an elf prince, she drank grief among frogs and bugs. And the prince would not have seen the bride, if not for the mouse. Thumbelina already despaired of at least somewhere to hide from the winter cold when the Field Mouse sheltered her.

“Oh, you poor thing! – said the field mouse (she was, in fact, a kind old woman). – Well, come here. Warm up and eat with me.”

Did you notice how the author describes the Mouse? “Actually, a good old woman.” By the way, there is an anecdote on this topic. “The mouse put Thumbelina to the stove, fed her. And even after Thumbelina had eaten, Mrs. Mouse continued to treat the guest and move her to the stove. “Well, how do you feel, Thumbelina?” asked the Mouse at last. “Thank you very much, Mrs. Mouse,” Thumbelina replied, “first I ate and got warm, and then I ate and sweated.”

Laughter with laughter, but hasn’t each of us met too hospitable housewives who consider it their duty to cram everything that is in the house into a guest? And is it bad? Somewhat burdensome for the stomach, but still pleasant. And any normal rat (except for the brilliant cook Ratatouille) would gobble up everything on its own, and would not call anyone into the mink.

Moreover, the Mouse was going to marry Thumbelina to the Mole, and at the same time did not seek any profit for herself! She sincerely wished her young pupil a rich husband. Yes, the Mouse did not at all consider Thumbelina’s romantic dreams, but almost all wise women beaten by life are like that. They know that princes are only in fairy tales, but you have to live in the real world. And in this world, male solidity is much more important than youthful good looks. And the fact that the Mole is blind and does not see how beautiful the bride is, so what? The main thing is to be a good person, right?

Lady Mouse – a symbol of fertility and responsibility to loved ones. And not only the Danish storyteller came to this conclusion.

Mickey Mouse and the Walk of Fame

Even Walt Disney, with his ingenious flair, did not immediately find the right hero for his cartoons. First he had the rabbit Oswald. Remember this? That’s it, almost no one remembers. Disney, in a rush to sign a contract with Universal Pictures for the production of cartoons about Oswald, missed the copyright clause. And when relations with Universal Pictures soured, the rabbit remained in the possession of the film company.

And Disney started looking for a new hero. His co-authors said that they tried to draw a frog, a puppy and a kitten, but in the end they settled on a mouse. And Disney himself recalled that he chose the mouse because the studio where he then worked was teeming with mice. And he even tried to tame one of the mice. Here on Mickey Mouse, Disney issued the rights very carefully. And in general, for the rest of his life he paid great attention to this issue, which I advise you too. Needlework is a creative process. You should not let any nasty rats parasitize on your insight and search.

And Mickey the mouse brought fame and fortune to his creator. Disney received an Oscar for this hero, moreover, Mickey Mouse became famous in itself. He was the first cartoon character to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, right between Elton John and Jack Nicholson.

Mickey is very friendly and sociable. He has, as you know, a girlfriend, Minnie. But did you know that Mickey also has a younger brother Morty and mischievous nephews Michael and Milo? Not to mention friends – the dog Pluto and the duckling Donald. In this vast company, Mickey Mouse is, of course, the most important and most positive character. His friends and relatives commit various stupid things, and he is forced to help them out, console and support them in every possible way. One witty critic once said that Mickey’s only flaw compared to other Disney characters is the lack of flaws.

Mickey Mouse is a symbol of friendship and fidelity. He is always ready to help. So are many other mice.

    Mice-allies and the last hope

Remember grandma and grandpa trying to crack open the golden egg laid by the hen Ryaba. Oh, simpletons who do not understand their luck! They just wanted scrambled eggs and were terribly angry that the testicle did not crack. “They beat them, they didn’t beat them.” A mouse came running, waving its tail, the testicle fell and broke. The plot of the tale somehow loses sight of the motives of the mouse, as well as its further fate. That’s all it said, they say, grandpa and grandma were terribly upset, realizing that there would be no scrambled eggs. And the chicken, the same, frankly speaking, fool, promised to lay another testicle, an ordinary one.

After all, there was only one smart mouse out of three boobies, who appreciated the good luck. Moreover, she managed to crack open the egg in order to draw attention to its much greater value. And as a market product, and as a natural phenomenon. Just think, an ordinary chicken laid a golden egg! No, we didn’t hear the mouse. She practically brought prosperity on a silver platter, but remained misunderstood and cursed.

However, not everyone is as stupid as this trio Grandfather-Grandma-Ryaba. Other grandparents at the right moment realized that there was no way without a mouse, and invited her to the most important position of the closing puller. You, of course, understood that we are talking about “Repka”. Remember, yes? “Pull, pull, they can not pull.” And these ineffectual sips continued for quite a long time. Neither the grandmother, nor the granddaughter, nor the bug with the cat could make a critical effort on the turnip, by means of which the cherished root crop would be separated from the soil layer for the purpose of further disposal as a steamed meal. Only when the mouse came, the deed was done.

By the way, the Pilot studio has a cartoon based on “Turnip”, in which the mouse is depicted as a cyclopean creature, easily tearing out a giant turnip with one paw. Here it is, the true meaning of mice for agriculture and all peasant life!

What about the mice that turned into horses harnessed to Cinderella’s carriage? And what about the mouse in the cartoon fairy tale “The Wonderful Bell”, which helped Masha survive in the forest and in the bear’s lair? As it was sung in a children’s song,

“I will go out to the bear, brothers, without fear,0003

If I am with a friend, and a bear without a friend.

A mouse is just the kind of friend with whom it is not scary even for a bear.

Well, yes, of course, there was the mouse king in The Nutcracker. But here, too, there are clear differences. Hoffmann, of course, was mistaken in calling this vile creature a mouse. It’s definitely a rat. Evil and greedy. But mice are completely different. Friendly and disinterested, economic and prolific, smart and faithful. It will be a good year. Because it’s the Year of the Mouse!

Mouse encyclopedia: world big and small

A Mouse lives in a small cozy hole in the forest. More than anything, she loves encyclopedias. And then one day a great idea comes to her mind: why not make her own encyclopedia about such a big world that surrounds a cozy hole – and about all the small things that live in it!

Travel around the world big and small with the Mouse: study the underground inhabitants, collect a herbarium, try to lure insects to a piece of raw meat, look inside an anthill, learn to distinguish bird trills, catch tadpoles and grow parsley.

You can go for walks with this encyclopedia! Into the forest, to the lake—yes, at least through my grandmother’s garden. And if you are sitting at home due to quarantine or bad weather, then you can take a walk with the Mouse and its encyclopedia in an application for a tablet or computer.

The mouse appeared for a reason, but to help elementary school students studying natural history. The book was published in Russian with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.

The book was nominated for the Czech Book Design Award – Magnesia Litera, received the Golden Ribbon Award 2017 and third place in the competition of the most beautiful Czech books in 2016.

The mouse and its encyclopedia can also be found as an application for computers and tablets at littlemousesencyclopedia.circusatos.com

How to Fix Mouse not working on Laptop?

If you use a mouse regularly you may have experienced situations whereby the device will refuse to function. This can lead to work frustrations especially if the device is crucial for work speed. You don’t have to discard that mouse of yours too quickly as the device may yet work. In this content, you will learn how to fix your mouse and get it working again.

    Overview of the Error

This problem may arise due to the following issues

Computer frozen: if the Num lock key is active on your laptop keypad the mouse will not function. When this key is pressed repeatedly the Lock will constantly turn the keyboard on and off. If the indicator does not change your laptop will be frozen and all hardware will not function. To resolve this issue, reboot the Laptop and proceed to the next solution.

No Num Lock Key: Some keyboards do not have an LED and your keyboard is lacking, one just presses “Ctrl+Alt+Del” keys at once. This action will produce a blue Windows option on your screen. If your screen doesn’t display this feature, it means your system is frozen. Reboot your computer as we advised above to fix this problem.

Mouse Conflict: If you’ve recently installed new hardware, you may want to Uninstall it to see if the hardware is causing the issue.

Not Connected properly: If the mouse is not connected properly it will not work. There are two types of mice.

USB Mouse: If you use a USB Mouse disconnect the cable and reconnect it with another USB port. Avoid using a USB hub as the hub may lack sufficient power to make the connection.

Wireless Mouse: If it is a wireless mouse, make sure it is getting sufficient power. Check the power indicator regularly for power notification. This will appear in the form of light. Also, check the power switch to make sure it is on. If the mouse is on but still not working, try changing the batteries and ensure that the wireless receiver is not blocked by any object and is within range. Finally, if it still doesn’t work, disconnect the USB adapter and plug it into another port.

    Mouse Conflict/ Driver Conflict

If the mouse is in Safe mode there may be driver conflict. Follow these stores to fix the problem.

    • Expand mouse option in Device Manager. To do this click the + symbol
    • Remove listed mice by highlighting every device one by one and then tap delete to remove them

If this doesn’t work run a Troubleshooter by following the steps provided by your Windows.

    Outdated or Missing Drivers

To check for this go to Drive Manager to check if a driver has been installed for your mouse because the Windows default driver may not work for your mouse. Installing a specific driver that is compatible with the mouse may fix the problem. Check the list of the page to look for links of popular mouse manufacturers websites to download mouse drivers from. If you already have a driver for your mouse spec make sure you have the updated version. If not, download the latest update.

    Hardware issues

If none of the above methods work try using another mouse to see if it will work. If the other mouse works, then try your main mouse with another PC. If it still doesn’t work the problem lies in the mouse port. Consider replacing it with another port. If they still don’t work it means the motherboard needs to be replaced.

    Corrupt operating system files

If nothing you’ve tried works it may be that there is a corrupted system in your OS. If this is the case, repair it with a system installation disc.

    • Solution 1- Re-plug the USB Cable or USB receiver
    • Solution 2- Hardware solutions for wireless mouse only
    • Solution 3- Restart the Laptop
    • Solution 4- Troubleshoot
    • Solution 5- Update your mouse driver
    • Solution 6- Reinstall your mouse driver
    • Solution 7- Disable the Fast Startup Option

Here are some solutions for fixing a non-functional mouse.

Solution 1- Re-plug the USB Cable or USB receiver

If your wireless cable is not working make sure it is properly connected to your laptop. Try removing and re-plugging it again or try it with the other USB port.

    • Unplug the cable or receiver from the laptop port
    • Wait for a few minutes
    • Plugin the cable again and try to use the mouse to see if it works.

Solution 2- Hardware solutions for wireless mouse only

If you use a wireless mouse try these methods-

    • Remove the old batteries and replace them with new batteries. Now check if the mouse works. To check the battery status of your bluetooth mouse, open the Control Panel and go to Bluetooth.
    • Now check “Total Battery Power Remaining.” It will give you an idea when you need to change the batteries of the mouse.
    • Check if the wireless receiver of the mouse is within range. Make sure it is not blocked by many objects.
    • You can also try disconnecting the wireless USB adapter and try plugging it into a different port.

Also, it’s important that your wireless mouse is receiving power to work. You can check by seeing if the indicator light is on. If it is not receiving power, you can try moving the mouse around on the mousepad or can turn off and on the power switch of the mouse, which is often present on the bottom of it.

    Solution 3- Restart the Laptop

Sometimes by just restarting your laptop issues may be addressed. If you’ve tried the two solutions mentioned above and it still doesn’t work, restart the laptop after unplugging the mouse. When the system turns back on, try plugging the mouse again.

    Solution 4- Troubleshoot

You can also run the hardware troubleshooter if your laptop is not recognizing the mouse after plugging it in. To do so, go to the “Control Panel,” open “Troubleshooting” and select “Hardware and Devices” to run the troubleshooter. After the process is complete, restart your laptop and check if the mouse works.

Solution 5- Update your mouse driver

A mouse not working may be down to an outdated driver. Visit the manufacturer’s website and check for recent updates. Make sure you only choose drivers that are compatible with your mouse. There are two ways to update drivers.

    Manual driver update

To follow this process through you have to visit the website of your mouse manufacturer to search for the correct driver that is compatible with your Windows. Once you find the right one, download the update.

    Automatic driver update

If you can’t afford the time to perform a manual update you can do it automatically with a 3rd party Program. Such a program will scan the web and bring to light available drivers and will download and install them on your behalf.

Identifying why your mouse is not working on Laptop can be tasking but if you are patient enough to follow this process through you will certainly find a solution that will work for you from the list of solutions provided in this article. However, if these both don’t work, you might need to reinstall the drivers.

Solution 6- Reinstall your mouse driver

If your mouse is not working properly, you can try reinstalling the mouse drivers on your laptop through Device Manager. The mouse drivers are automatically installed through the Microsoft driver repository, and to do so, follow the below steps:

    • Open the Device Manager by pressing the Windows button + X.
    • Select “Mice and other pointing devices” from the list of options and choose “HID-Compliant Mouse” and uninstall it.
    • Your laptop will ask your permission to restart. Give the permission. Your mouse driver will be installed and you can check your USB or wireless mouse.

Solution 7- Disable the Fast Startup Option

Fast startup can sometimes be one of the causes of the mouse not working on your laptop. So, to disable it, follow the below steps:

    • Press Windows + X and select Power Option.
    • Now click on “Choose what the power button does” and then “Change settings that are presentlyunavailable” Deselect the “Turn on fast startup” box
    • Save the changes. Now restraining your computer may take longer but will probably fix your mouse.

    Additional Tips

Here are some additional general tips for making both USB and wireless mice work on your laptop.

    • Make sure if you’re using the mouse only on a smooth and flat surface. It’s better if you use a mousepad for a consistent work surface.
    • Check if there’s any hardware damage to the mouse. It may include a missing ball, cracked housing, failure of the optical sensor to glow, or sticky/silent clicking of the finger switches. In such a case it’s better to replace the mouse rather than repairing it, since most mouse hardware components are quite inexpensive as compared to other parts.
    • Since an external mouse works by transmitting wireless signals between a USB receiver of your laptop, it might be possible that the receiver is out of sync with the wireless mouse, causing it to stop working. So, you should consider resyncing the USB port with the mouse, which is fairly easy. Press the Connect button somewhere on the USB receiver and you will see a light flashing on the receiver. Then press the Connect button on the mouse. It will stop the flashing light on the USB receiver, implying that your receiver is now synced with the mouse.

How to Connect Your Computer’s Mouse, Keyboard and Printer

So, you have some new technology, and you’re ready to set it up. At first, properly connecting your computer’s mouse, keyboard and printer may seem like an overwhelming and complicated task, but it’s actually a lot easier than you might think. Regardless of what types of devices you have, most computer accessories are set up in similar ways.

If your mouse, keyboard and printer are still in their boxes, each one probably includes a how-to guide that outlined step-by-step instructions. That being said, some items don’t include guides, or they’ve been misplaced … luckily, you can still set up your computer’s accessories in a few easy steps, even if you don’t have the instructions.

    Connecting Your Computer’s Mouse

When it comes to buying a mouse, you have to choose between wired and wireless options. Wired mice are often cheaper, their batteries do not die, and they’re very responsive. Although you’ll never have to search for batteries for a dead mouse, you will give up some desk space, as wired mouses are typically larger.

Wireless mice are simple and travel-friendly. There’s no cord to get tangled, and they’re generally very small in size. One downside is that they do have distance limits. Although some are effective when they’re up to 30 feet away from a computer, others experience issues when they’re about five or more feet away.

    A) Connecting a Wired Mouse

Connecting your mouse to a PC, Mac or other computer isn’t overly complicated. The first step is to determine where you’d like your mouse to be placed. Think about the cord and make sure the placement is not near objects it can get stuck on. Once your mouse is in an acceptable place, you can start to connect it to your computer.

First things first, you’ll want to power down your computer. If you try to plug the mouse into one of your ports when the computer is on, damage might occur. To power down a desktop PC or laptop, click on your Windows button in the bottom left corner of your screen.

Next, click “Shut down.” A window may pop up and tell you that various programs need to close before you shut down your computer. Here, you have two options. If you were working on something and want to save your progress, click “Cancel” and save your necessary documents. You’ll then repeat the process above again to continue shutting down.

In the event you don’t need to save what you were working on, click “Force shut down.” When you do this, your computer will automatically close all of the programs it’s running. At this point, your PC should power down.

If you have a Mac desktop or laptop, click the “Apple” key in the top left-hand corner of your screen. A drop-down menu should populate, and you can then click “Shut Down…” When you do this, a pop-up box will ask you if you’d like to cancel or shut down.

Users who have unsaved data that might be deleted should hit cancel and save everything before proceeding. Once everything is secured, you can click the “Shut Down” option on the pop-up, or you can wait 60 seconds and the computer will turn off automatically.

Once your computer is powered off, you can connect your mouse. Most wired mouses are USB-based, meaning they must plug into a USB port on your computer. This type of port is the standard mouse connection option. When a USB device is connected to a USB port, it transfers digital data. The port will also provide your mouse with the electric power it needs to operate.

    Visually

The square-shaped USB ports on your computer should say “USB,” or they can be identified with one of the symbols pictured below. Some computers have two or more types of USB ports, but each one will work for your mouse.

    Softpedia News

Once you’ve identified a USB port, you’ll want to plug your USB mouse in. If it does not seem to fit, rotate the USB cable 180 degrees and try again. Once the fit is secure, you can power up your computer again and see if the mouse is working.

    B) Connecting a Wireless Receiver Mouse

There are a few types of wireless mouses on the market. One of the most popular options is a mouse with a wireless receiver. When you unpackage your mouse, look to see if a small plug comes with it. If so, you have a wireless mouse with a wireless receiver.

People with this type of technology should start by powering down their computer. Instructions on how to do so safely are outlined in section A above. Once your computer is turned off, you can plug the wireless receiver into one of your USB ports. How to identify a USB port is also covered in the section above. Once your receiver is plugged in, turn on your computer.

Next, you’ll want to see if your mouse needs batteries. Flip your mouse over to see if it has a tray on the back. You may need a screwdriver to open the tray, or you might be able to open its latch with your finger. If there’s a place for batteries, insert new batteries. If there is no battery tray, your mouse may require charging. If this is the case, it should have come with a charger and a charging port.

Once your mouse is charged or has batteries, it should start to function. A few mouses have “On/Off” switches, so if yours isn’t working, see if you can flip it into the “On” position.

Once your computer and your mouse are turned on, you’ll need to connect your mouse to your computer. A lot of mice come with “Connect” buttons, which will connect the two pieces of technology. In the event you can’t find this button, call 1-800-573-8028 for technical support.

    C) Connecting a Bluetooth Mouse

Some wireless mice use Bluetooth to connect with a computer. Bluetooth is a short-range wireless technology that connects a variety devices, from mobile phones to wireless speakers.

Windows users can connect via Bluetooth by clicking on their “Windows” menu in the bottom left of their screens. After the menu is open, click on the “Gear” menu, also known as “Settings.” Click on “Devices,” and then select “Bluetooth & other devices.”

Make sure your Bluetooth is turned on, and your PC should start to look for nearby Bluetooth devices. After a minute or so, your wireless mouse should come up in the list of “Ready to pair” devices, and you can click “Pair.” Once you complete these steps, your mouse should be working. Users who run into difficulty or have a different Windows version than Windows 10 can receive further steps from My Fast PC directly.

Mac users with Bluetooth mice will start by pressing the “Apple” menu in the top left of their screens. Once the drop-down menu is open, click “System Preferences…” Find the “Bluetooth” icon and click on it one time.

A Bluetooth menu should open, and you’ll want to hit the “Turn Bluetooth On” option if it’s not on already selected. A list of devices will populate, and you’ll want to look for your mouse. Once you see it, select the “Pair” button that’s next to its name. As long as it’s turned on and its Bluetooth is enabled, it should connect within moments.

    Connecting Your Computer’s Keyboard

After you’ve read the section above, connecting your keyboard will be a breeze. Many keyboards are USB-based, so they attach to your computer the same way a wired mouse attaches. Make sure your computer is powered down, and plug your keyboard’s USB into a USB port on your computer. When you turn your computer on again, you should be able to use your keyboard.

People who have wireless keyboards will likely either use a receiver or Bluetooth to connect their devices. A keyboard’s receiver functions a lot like a mouse’s receiver. Plug your keyboard receiver into a USB port on your computer while it’s turned off.

You’ll also want to make sure your keyboard has the necessary batteries or charge it needs to function before you turn your computer on again. Once you’re sure the keyboard has power, turn on your computer. At this point, your receiver and keyboard should connect.

A Bluetooth keyboard will connect the same way as a wireless mouse. Once your computer’s Bluetooth menu is open, look for your keyboard in the device section. As soon as it populates, you’ll want to pair with it. In moments, a connection will be established, and you should be able to use your keyboard wirelessly.

    Connecting Your Computer’s Printer

Last, but not least, you’ll want to connect a printer to your computer. If your computer has a wire, it’s likely a USB-based printer. Before you plug it in, place it down and make sure you like its position. Once it’s in an acceptable area, find its USB cord and plug it into your powered down computer. When you turn your computer on again, you should be able to use the printer.

To test the connection, open something you want to print. An easy way to do this is to open Microsoft Word or Pages for Mac and type “Test.” Next, click the “Office” button or “File” in the top left-hand corner of your screen. Click “Print” and make sure the “Printer” default is the new printer you’ve attached. Once you’re happy with your settings, select “Print,” and your printer should make a copy of the document.

Bluetooth printers are also common and should be connected in the same fashion as a Bluetooth mouse. Open your computer’s Bluetooth menu and search for available devices. As long as your printer has power and its Bluetooth is enabled, it should pop up with the option to pair. Pair your computer with your printer, and then print a document to make sure the connection is working properly.

    A Word on Software

Depending on the mouse, keyboard or printer you own, your computer may need additional software to run the new technology. When this is the case, a CD is often included in the product’s packaging.

When you put the disk into your computer’s disk drive, a menu will likely come up and ask you if you want to install the new program. You’ll want to say yes and make sure the software is copied onto your computer. In the event you lose this disk or nothing happens when you put it into your computer, My Fast PC can help resolve your issue.

How to connect a wireless mouse to a laptop or computer?

I have been using exclusively wireless mice for a long time. They are very convenient to use with both a laptop and a desktop computer. I’ve changed about five already. True, I had to spend money on batteries, but I took the latest model with the ability to charge and am very pleased. Today’s article is not about my gadgets, but about how to connect a wireless mouse to a PC or Windows laptop. The connection process itself is not very complicated, but since people ask, it means that it is not always possible to connect. I will try to make a universal instruction that is suitable for different mice (Logitech, Rapoo, Trust, Microsoft, Maxxter, Defender, HP, A4Tech, Razer, Speedlink, etc.), with different connection interfaces. Wireless, of course.

The main wireless mice on the market today have the following wireless interfaces:

    1. Radio interface (Wireless) are those mice that are connected via a special USB adapter (receiver). It comes with a mouse. The connection itself most often operates at a frequency of 2.4 GHz and often suffers from interference (from the same Wi-Fi routers). The connection is very simple: insert the receiver into the USB port of the computer / laptop, turn on the mouse and everything works. This is the most popular interface for connecting wireless manipulators.
    2. Bluetooth – there are much fewer mice with this connection interest compared to the usual radio interface (which are with a receiver). Basically, these are more expensive models. They are very convenient to use with laptops, as they have a built-in Bluetooth module. And such a mouse is connected without a receiver. But for a PC, you will have to buy a USB Bluetooth adapter.
    3. Wireless + Bluetooth – this is when the mouse supports two connection options. Via a regular USB radio adapter and via Bluetooth (no adapter on laptops). By choice.

I think you know which connection interface your wireless mouse supports. If not, see the instructions and information on the official website.

We will separately consider the process of connecting via the radio interface (USB adapter) and separately via Bluetooth using the example of a laptop with Windows 10. There are differences. I have input when connected via Bluetooth.

Connect wireless radio mouse via USB adapter

If your mouse comes with a USB receiver, and this is the only connection interface (or Bluetooth is not / does not work on your computer), then you need to connect this receiver to the USB port of a laptop or desktop computer.

After connecting, Windows should install drivers. I have already connected many wireless mice, I have never encountered a problem when Windows cannot find or install the required driver. If it so happened that the system does not recognize the device, then you can try downloading the driver or software from the manufacturer’s website. We write in the search the name and model of our mouse. For example, “Logitech M185” and in the search results go to the official Logitech website. There we are already looking for a section with downloads and downloading the necessary driver. But you probably won’t have to do it.

Insert a battery into the mouse, or charge it and turn it on. Perhaps, after that, the indicator will light up (but it may not be).

After that, the mouse should immediately start working. If it turns out that after connecting the wireless mouse does not work, then the first thing:

    • Check that the battery is not dead (by replacing it) and that it is installed correctly.
    • Disconnect and reconnect the USB receiver.
    • Restart your computer.
    • You can go to the device manager and see if the adapter appears in the “HID Devices” section. If we connect the Logitech mouse adapter, then the “Logitech USB Input Device” adapter should appear there. The title may vary.
    • You can test the adapter and mouse on another computer/laptop. Perhaps you got married. This also happens.

In most cases, these devices connect and work without problems at all. Especially in Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7.

Bluetooth wireless mouse connection (without receiver/adapter)

I want to clarify right away that connecting a mouse to a desktop computer without an adapter most likely will not work . Since the PC usually does not have a built-in Bluetooth module. Therefore, first we need to select a Bluetooth adapter for the computer, then connect and configure Bluetooth, and only after that we can connect a Bluetooth mouse according to the instructions. Or use the Wireless adapter that comes with the kit (if your model supports this interface).

It’s easier with laptops, they have built-in Bluetooth. True, it does not always work, because the necessary drivers are not installed. If your laptop does not have a Bluetooth icon in the tray and there is no adapter in the device manager, corresponding settings in the settings, then you must first configure and enable Bluetooth (for example, Windows 10). And this article has instructions for Windows 7.

To connect, right-click on the Bluetooth icon and select “Add Device”.

Turn on the mouse. Next, you need to activate the connection mode. There should be a button for that. On my mouse, it’s labeled “Connect”. You need to press it (maybe press and hold). The indicator should start flashing actively. The process of activating the connection mode, of course, may differ depending on the manufacturer and model of the mouse. See instructions.

On the computer, in the window that has already opened, select the “Add Bluetooth or other device” item. Then click on “Bluetooth”. When our mouse appears in the list, just click on it. In Windows 7, a window will immediately open that will display the devices available for connection.

A message should appear indicating that the device is ready for use.

The mouse should already be working. We press “Finish”. Connection completed.

In Windows 7, everything is about the same, only the windows themselves and menu items look different.

Tip! After connecting, I recommend downloading and installing the software from the website of your wireless mouse manufacturer. Or install it from disk, if available. For example, for Logitech mice – “Logitech Options”.

This is a program that can be used to set additional functions. For example, assign actions to additional buttons, adjust pointer speed, etc. It all depends on what kind of mouse you have. If the simplest, then you may not need this program.

If the computer does not find the Bluetooth mouse, first of all make sure that it is turned on and the connection mode is activated. Try connecting it to another device. You can even use your phone or tablet (on Android).

Auto disable touchpad after connecting wireless mouse

On laptops, everything can be configured in such a way that after connecting a mouse (wireless or wired), the touchpad will turn off automatically. And this is very convenient, because it only gets in the way. For example, when typing.

As far as I understand, this can only be done when the touchpad driver from the laptop manufacturer’s website is installed on your laptop. Checked on Lenovo, everything works.

Open Start (or search) and write “mouse”. Open “Mouse Options”.

    Go to “Advanced mouse options”.

The new window should have an “ELAN” tab (you may have a different one). You need to go to it and check the box next to “Disable when connecting an external USB mouse.” Click “Apply”.

Everything is ready! Now the touchpad will not work when a mouse is connected.
