This gives you a total of 36 square feet. We also include everything needed for a quick and easy installation! Our Rockmat will increase how loud your car stereo plays! It also improves bass quality and eliminates those bad rattling and distortion sounds.

Installing Rockmat improves bass quality of the speaker and eliminates those bad rattling and distortion sounds.

Our Rockmat is built to the highest standards in this industry using 100% butyl rubber with a layer of heat resistant aluminum.  Butyl rubber is the same material high end speakers surround material is made out of. We use the highest quality pressure-sensitive self-adhesive to make your installation quick and easy. Our model has increased flexibility for an easier and more permanent installation! Our sound dampening product uses 72mil of pure grade aluminum! Most products on the market use 50mil. Our product will absorb sound better than the competition. If a product does not specify how much material is being used, you should be very cautious about it! Every manufacturer should know what they put into their products! Also, other products on the market such as GTMAT for example use a mixture of asphalt in their products. They basically are manufacturing roofing material and calling it sound deadener. Their product will work OK, but not nearly as good as our Rockmat. Our Rockmat is made of butyl rubber and aluminum which is the same as many of the more expensive brands out there that sell for twice our price. . We do not cheat our customers. We only make top quality gear over here at Rockville!

Our Rockmat has an adhesive temperature range of -100F to 300F (-60C to 150C). Our adhesive is top of the line! It will stick for years and years! Each layer of our material reduces unwanted noise 5-8 dB! This is among the best ratings in the industry. Our product works as well or better than other high end brands! We did our testing and research.

We make all our models in 2 color options. You get the choice of black and silver. We decided to also keep the look very clean! We see all these other brands tattooing their logos all over the material. I always thought it looked stupid. So I made sure to keep our Rockmat with a clean look to it.

Installation Instructions:

Rockmat is a self-adhesive. Stick the Rockmat in your desired area. Rockmat is pressure sensitive so after you apply the material into your desired area; apply pressure to it. That is it! Installation takes only minutes! Please note our Rockmat is also easy to cut into the desired shape you need!

Why the 4×10” Bassman is considered the best Fender amp of all time

The Fender 4×10 Bassman tweed combo is “arguably the best guitar amp Fender has ever made,” writes Groove Tubes founder Aspen Pittman in The Tube Amp Book.

That’s a pretty big statement considering there are dozens of Fender amps out there with their own dedicated fans. Among them are models such as Deluxe/Deluxe Reverb, Dual Professional/Super, Princeton Reverb, Super Reverb, Twin/Twin Reverb, Vibroverb and even a miniature tweed Champ.

But given the long and proud history of the tweed 4×10” Bassman, and especially its role in the development of the modern guitar amplifier, that statement is hard to argue with.

When guitarists begin to “romanticize” the tweed Bassman, it’s usually the 5F6A that Fender produced from 1958 to 1960. The first Bassman amplifiers, introduced in 1952, featured a single 15″ speaker, and in 1954 Fender released the Bassman with four 10″ speakers.

Fender created four different circuits before the legendary 5F6A was born, which Bassman fans consider to be the final version. A pair of 5881 tubes delivered 45 watts of output, and four 10″ Jensen Alnico speakers delivered tight, focused bass, harmonically rich mids and crystal-clear highs that paired beautifully with electric guitars.

While Fender at 19Bassman’s design was drastically changed in 1960, the immortal status of the 5F6A was cemented a few years later when Marshall essentially copied the circuitry for its first JTM45 amplifier. Many amps that emerged in the following decades, including the Heigen Soldano and 5150, are based on the 5F6A.

The tweed Bassman has also gained cult status due to its role in popular music since the late 50s. Initially, it could be heard in Buddy Holly’s rock and roll, Buddy Guy’s blues, and even country songs by Luther Perkins and Johnny Cash.

The tweed Bassman lived on in the 70s thanks to the likes of Roy Buchanan, Bruce Springsteen and others. Stevie Ray Vaughn revived it as a workhorse for blues players in the late 80s and early 90s.

In 1990, the 4×10” Bassman became the first tweed model to be reissued by Fender, starting the tweed amplifier renaissance. The first reissues had a plywood case and a semiconductor rectifier, while the current ’59The Bassman LTD is more like the original with Jensen P10R speakers, solid pine cabinetry and a 5AR4 rectifier.

The re-releases were good enough to win over the most discerning musicians such as Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Stone Gossard, Tom Petty, Chris Shiflett and others. The new model from the 90s turned out to be perhaps even more popular than the original at its time.
