If you’re looking for the best printer for iPad, iPhone, or Mac, finding a printer that can work seamlessly is an invaluable tool. Thanks to Apple AirPrint, you can easily print documents and photos directly from your device, which is great when you don’t want to set up another wireless connection. Since there’s nothing to download, it’s also great when you have multiple people, like friends, roommates, or co-workers, all sharing the same printer.

We’ve tested over 125 printers, and below are our recommendations for the best printers with AirPrint you can buy. Also, check out our recommendations for the best home printers, the best office printers, and the best photo printers.

The best AirPrint printer we’ve tested is the Brother MFC-L8905CDW, a color laser all-in-one. It has many connectivity options, including Wi-Fi, USB, and Ethernet, and it supports AirPrint, so you don’t have to install any drivers or third-party apps when printing from an iPhone, iPad, or Mac. The scanner produces high-quality scans and can quickly process multi-page and double-sided sheets through its automatic feeder. Printing-wise, this model produces incredibly sharp documents and is fast, churning out an impressive 32 pages per minute. The toner cartridges last a long time and aren’t overly expensive, but you’ll have to spend extra to replace the drum since it’s a separate unit. You don’t need to replace the drum often, as it’s usually good for 30,000 prints.

If you don’t need all of the MFC-L8905CDW’s features and would rather save money, know that cheaper variants are available. You can get the Brother MFC-L8610CDW if you don’t need duplex scanning or NFC support, and there are also the Brother MFC-L8900CDW and the Costco/BJ-exclusive MFC-L8900CDW variants if you don’t mind a smaller display. These variants will give you the same print quality, so you aren’t compromising on performance. You can see more details about the variants in the full review.

Regardless of the model you choose, photo printing is the one thing that all of these laser printers don’t do well. We recommend getting the Epson EcoTank Photo ET-8550 if you need to print photos. It prints detailed and colorful photos and supports various paper sizes up to 13″ x 19″. Its ink tank yields thousands of pages, and replacement ink is cheap. However, there are a couple of tradeoffs, like the lack of an automatic feeder and slower printing speeds. If cost concerns you, you can get its cheaper variant, the Epson EcoTank Photo ET-8500. It gives you the same print quality as the ET-8550 but only supports paper sizes up to 8.5″ x 11″.

If you only need to print in black and white documents and want to save money, we recommend the Brother MFC-L2750DW, a monochrome laser all-in-one. It produces high-quality documents and prints very quickly at up to 36 pages per minute. The scanner has extendable lid hinges to make scanning thick items easier and an automatic feeder with single-pass duplex scanning. Its toner cartridge yields around 2,000 prints and is relatively cheap. Plus, since this is a monochrome printer, there’s only one cartridge to replace, so it’ll be relatively inexpensive to maintain over time. You need to replace the drum separately, but you likely won’t need to do it often, as it’s usually good for around 12,000 prints.

If you have simpler needs and don’t need all the above features, you can save money with one of its cheaper variants, like the Brother MFC-L2710DW. It has the same print quality and page yield as the MFC-L2750DW, but it prints slightly slower at 32 pages per minute and doesn’t support NFC and duplex scanning. Some bundles come with a longer-lasting XL toner cartridge, which might be cheaper than buying it separately. Check out our full review for more details about the variants.

If you want something more modest for home use, get the Brother MFC-J4335DW. This all-in-one inkjet model feels very well built despite its price and packs many features to satisfy most household needs. With AirPrint support, you can connect to the printer easily and start printing immediately, saving you precious time. It prints quickly for an inkjet printer, churning out 17 black or 15 color pages per minute, and supports automatic duplex printing.

Regarding its page yield, the ink cartridges are good for around 2200 black and 800 color prints, and you can get high-yield cartridges that’ll last even longer. The cartridges aren’t overly expensive, so your maintenance cost won’t rise quickly if you print a lot. Unfortunately, it doesn’t support duplex scanning, and it isn’t the best for printing photos, as printed pictures look grainy and slightly washed out. If those things don’t matter, the MFC-J4335DW is a great option.

For those on a tight budget, we recommend the Brother MFC-J1205W, also known as the Brother MFC-J1215W at Walmart. It’s a simple inkjet all-in-one that’s well-suited for people who don’t print all that often. It feels sturdily built despite its budget-friendly price, connects via Wi-Fi, and supports Apple AirPrint, so you don’t need to worry about installing drivers. It prints sharp documents, and while it doesn’t have the best color range or accuracy, printed photos still look decent. Its four ink cartridges yield lots of prints and are cheap, meaning you won’t have to spend much to maintain them over time. It has a flatbed scanner but, sadly, no automatic feeder. It’s also a little slow at printing, as it only prints nine black or six color pages per minute.

A monochrome laser alternative would be the Brother HL-L2325DW. It produces sharp-looking documents, prints up to 33 pages per minute, and yields about 1200 prints from a single toner cartridge. Like other Brother laser printers, you have to replace the drum separately, but again, it’s not something you’ll have to do often. You can also get the Brother HL-L2370DW variant if you need Ethernet or the Brother HL-L2370DW XL bundle, which comes with longer-lasting toner cartridges in the box. The main downside with these laser printers is that they’re print-only units, so you need to be sure you won’t need to scan anything in the future.

If you need something cheap for the occasional one-off project, get the Canon PIXMA MG3620. It doesn’t feel particularly sturdy, but it produces good-quality documents and detailed photos. You still get Wi-Fi and USB connectivity, as well as Apple AirPrint support. The scanner produces surprisingly high-quality scans; however, as this is a budget-friendly model, there’s no automatic feeder or fax functionality. It prints nine black or three color pages per minute and supports automatic duplex printing.

The main drawback of a cheap model like this is its low page yield. Its two-cartridge system yields only around 200 black and color prints, meaning you’ll often have to replace the cartridges. The cartridges aren’t expensive, so maintenance cost isn’t the issue. It just requires more maintenance, and because it uses a tri-color cartridge, you have to replace the entire cartridge even if only one color runs out. On the upside, you can get XL ink cartridges that’ll last longer, and the printer also accepts third-party ink, which might be cheaper.

We recommend the HP OfficeJet 250, an all-in-one inkjet printer with a built-in rechargeable battery, for on-the-go use. It’s easy to carry around thanks to its compact size, so it’s a great option for people who travel for work or need to print receipts at an outdoor event with no power outlet nearby. You can connect to the printer via Wi-Fi or USB, and of course, you get Apple AirPrint support. Its sheetfed scanner produces high-quality scans and supports optical character recognition (OCR), a feature that lets you save scans as PDFs for quick keyword searches.

Printing-wise, this inkjet model produces very nice black and color documents. However, it’s pretty slow, so there might be better options for printing a huge report. Another downside is that the ink cartridges run out quickly. The cartridges are relatively cheap, although color printing can still get expensive if you print a lot. You can get XL cartridges that’ll last longer, and the printer also accepts third-party ink, which might be cheaper. The battery is good for about 225 prints and takes around two hours to charge fully.

              • Canon Color imageCLASS MF753Cdw/MF751Cdw:
The Canon Color imageCLASS MF753Cdw/MF751Cdw is a newer version of the Canon imageCLASS MF743Cdw and a good alternative to the Brother MFC-L8905CDW. It has the same features as the Brother but doesn’t scan or print as quickly. It’s also more expensive to maintain over time because the toner cartridges yield fewer pages.

The Epson EcoTank ET-3850 is a good color inkjet alternative to the Brother MFC-L2750DW. Its ink tanks yield significantly more prints, but the printer lacks duplex scanning and doesn’t print as quickly.

Needed a printer to replace my HP inkjet all-in-one. I didn’t need a workhorse so I looked for a low price offering from HP. Saw a refurb unit and I purchased it with a service contract… it just keeps banging away…no problems. I love it.

              FIRE PROTECTION

              EchoCore panels do not burn!

Fire-resistant sound-absorbing panels EkhoKor have a fire hazard class of material

              KM1

The properties of the Basotect® raw material make it possible to produce any geometric shape of EchoCor products from it. Thanks to the possibility of photo printing, airbrushing and the possibility of coloring, EchoKor sound-absorbing products have ample opportunities for decorating rooms according to individual projects.

Base material (based on melamine foam) for use in the construction industry, light grey. EchoKor products made from it can be painted in any color. Color gamut – all the variety of shades of the RAL Classic color scale.

The paint is spray applied and only covers the outer layer of the material. The main requirement for the paint is the absence of a film on the surface of the material after painting, since the film can degrade the sound-absorbing properties. We managed to pick up a great paint. It is an environmentally friendly water-based composition, non-flammable, which can be tinted in any color according to the RAL scale. Consumers are interested in the possibility of photo printing on panels. The available material thickness for this type of decoration is 200 mm. If greater thickness is required, composite parts are used. The print is applied to a panel up to 200 mm thick and is complemented by an additional detail of the required thickness. When drawing on a sound-absorbing panel, the artist uses the airbrush method. The possibilities of this type of decoration are limited only by the imagination of the Customer.

Drawings are possible on standard panels measuring 1200 x 600 mm, and composite compositions on any area finished with sound-absorbing panels. This work is made exclusively for individual orders. Interesting options are obtained when decorating children’s rooms, kindergarten groups and private recording studios. The low-frequency traps and wall panels designed by the artist fit logically into the interior of the room, carrying a serious functional load for adjusting the acoustics of the room.

The material from which the EchoCor panels are made is easy to cut and process. This makes it possible to produce shaped products of various shapes. The combination of variants of the shape of absorbent products with coloring and photo printing makes it possible to state that the decorative properties of EchoKor products far exceed the capabilities of absorbent materials similar in properties, made of foamed polyurethane foam or mineral wool.
