Both bring a lot of meaningful upgrades over their predecessors, and they’re worth considering if you’re in the market for a premium Wear OS watch right now. The updates brought more durability, bigger batteries, and even support some additional health-tracking features. They don’t leave much room for complaints, but I wish Samsung had changed how you charge these smartwatches. The Galaxy Watch 5 series support WPC-based wireless charging, which, in a nutshell, limits the chargers you can use with these watches.

That’s because you need WPC-based wireless charging support, which limits the chargers you can use with these watches.
I suggest you avoid third-party options for the Galaxy Watch 5 and stick to the official Samsung chargers. Alternatively, you can use your Samsung phone to charge your watch if it supports reverse wireless charging.
It is, however, worth noting that you can only use the reverse wireless charging feature on Samsung phones to top up your Galaxy Watch 5 smartwatch. That’s right, you can’t use, say, a OnePlus 10 Pro to wirelessly charge them even though the phone supports reverse wireless charging.
