We chose GoPrime for our mortgage needs based on their excellent reviews…I now believe that many of those reviews cannot be truthful. In the end and after many months of hearing everything was on track, they were unsuccessful in closing for us and we came within days of losing the house, escrow and our minds! Their response to our request for the actual amount lost in dealing with them, was to take no responsibility. If I wasn’t so distraught and exhausted, I would continue with legal action. My recommendation is to stay far away from this mortgage company!

Articles – HOW TO BECOME A PRIME MINISTER?

At the EY Entrepreneur of the Year ceremony, we were talking to former Prime Minister Taavi Rõivas, who spotted an advertisement in Äripäev newspaper for a training course on how to become a prime minister that I will be running in Äripäev on 19 April. “So you gather an audience of 100 people and promise them all that they will become premieres?” Rõivas was surprised. “Certainly!” I replied. A hundred people want, someone will. But none of us knows who it is.

The purpose of political communication is to be elected. Some day. And then again. Every time. A politician is a person who stands for election. Even when he is not chosen.

Unfortunately, we have too many “politicians” who are not striving for power. They do not seek to take the chair of the prime minister and administer power. They want to get into parliament. Maybe even in opposition. Get a prestigious position and a good salary. Such people are also needed, they do all the dirty work in various commissions, but they cannot make decisions. But one cannot do without perseverance and aspiration, and one must strive as diligently as possible so that our state prospers.

And becoming a prime minister is not at all difficult.

The scheme itself, according to which a person becomes prime minister, is very primitive: you need to become the chairman of the party, win elections and form a coalition. But in reality, it takes more than that to be chosen.

Reading, writing and communication skills are required. You need to be proficient in oratory. In our society, there is much talk about the ability to read, but much less mention of the ability to think. A successful person capable of political implementation is able to synthesize what has been read or assimilated as a result of communication, and then convincingly express his thoughts in written or oral form, that is, in the form of speech or conversation.

The common argument “I read a lot, therefore I am smart” does not work at all in politics. But what works? The ability of a person with his text to make people think the way he needs; to make people think and/or act as he wants.

During the EOC presidential elections, the Estonian Drafts Union did not support the candidacy of Jüri Ratas. At the same time, a single vote of that same Union would be enough to win. When Ratas became prime minister, I sent him a text message: “You must admit, Jüri, that you are much better suited for the post of prime minister than for the post of president of the EOC. Why waste talent? Ratas replied: “Well, you are a joker

“. “I’m not kidding.

,” I added.

To succeed, you need to work hard.

You can become prime minister simply by climbing up the political career ladder, and then a gust of wind will open a slightly closed door for you, and you just have to enter. This is what happened to Taavi Rõivas.

It may also happen that you can stand in front of a door that you think is right, and it will be slammed right in your face. But then it turns out that this is not the right door at all. This is exactly what happened to Juri Ratas.

But in order to be successful, you have to work all your life, work hard to win a medal. Practice, practice and practice more. If Erki Nool read books instead of training, then it would be pointless for him to go to Sydney. But even if he was in great shape, but could not go to the start at the same time, he would not have become an Olympic champion.

Most politicians will never manage to win high positions in the political hierarchy. To get to the absolute top is obtained by one in a hundred, and maybe out of a thousand.

But that is not the problem at all. Going in for sports at an amateur level is worth it to everyone who thinks about their physical form. Anyone who wants to preserve the Estonian state, in which they will live well, and so that a politically healthy atmosphere reigns in Estonia, is worth engaging in amateur politics.

To form a policy, one does not need to be a politician – a person who works in one position or another and receives a salary for implementing the policy. As the examples of Estonia and Finland show, anyone who has prepared for this path and at the right time finds himself in front of correct door.

And getting to the right door takes a lot of practice. Ambitious politicians will be useful to any state. So yes, Taavi, on April 19 at Äripäev we will sculpt a hundred new candidates for premieres. And yes, Yuri, we’re not joking. Never.

After the announcement of the resignation of Prime Minister Liz Truss, the struggle for leadership in the Conservative Party of Great Britain is again unfolding. High-ranking Tories have begun actively enlisting the support of their party members, and the most likely contenders for the post of head of the party and head of government, according to experts, are former Prime Minister Boris Johnson, former Treasury Secretary Rishi Sunak and House of Commons leader Penny Mordaunt.

None of the three politicians has yet officially declared their intention to participate in the presidential race.

Liz Truss resigned on Thursday amid the failure of her economic policies, having been British Prime Minister for only about six weeks. It is expected that the name of the new prime minister will be known by next Friday.

Candidates must have the support of at least 100 Conservative MPs by Monday 2:00 pm. In the event that only one politician manages to do this, he will automatically become the prime minister. If there are several applicants (and given the number of Tory parliamentarians in the race, no more than three politicians can accept), their candidacies will be put forward for a vote by all members of the Conservative Party.

Johnson’s chances

from the post of prime minister, his chances are not bad. On Thursday it became known that Johnson interrupted his vacation in the Caribbean and urgently returned to London.

“I’ve changed my mind in the last 24 hours. I’ve heard from two or three people who I really respect and who are usually very good in numbers that not only will he pass the threshold of 100 deputies, but he could get around 140”, Tim Montgomery, founder of the Conservative Party website ConservativeHome, told BBC Radio 4 Today.

Johnson has many supporters in the party. Minister for Enterprise, Energy and Industrial Strategy Jacob Rees-Mogg urged Conservatives in Parliament to nominate him.

Priti Patel, who headed the Home Office in his government, is also ready to support Johnson.

His allies say Boris Johnson’s successful return to politics could secure a reconciliation with Rishi Sunak, his government’s former finance minister, whose voluntary resignation in July was one of the reasons for Johnson’s downfall.

He became a member of the British Parliament not so long ago – in 2015. In 2019, he was appointed Minister of Finance and remained in this post until July 5 this year, when he announced his resignation following his colleague, Health Minister Sajid Javid.

Both resigned from their posts after being highly critical of Boris Johnson’s actions.

Sunak was seen as the most likely future Tory leader, but his reputation has been damaged by the tax scandal of his wife, Akshatu Murthy, who owns a substantial stake in her father’s Indian company Infosys and received more than £10m in dividends last year. She was accused of tax evasion in Britain under the pretext of being a non-resident.

Sunak was appointed Finance Minister in February 2020 and has been forced to deal with the fallout from the pandemic by channeling massive amounts of funds to support the economy during the lockdown. Such a policy was somewhat contrary to his views (Sunak considers himself a traditional conservative who advocates low taxes and low government spending), but it helped to increase his popularity.

Penny Mordaunt

In 2019, Penny Mordaunt became the first ever woman to be British Secretary of Defense.

Her political career began under the government of David Cameron, where she served as Undersecretary for the Armed Forces. And she came to the Conservative Party in her youth, joining the ranks of the Tory youth movement.

She is now Leader of the House of Commons and Lord President of the Council of Succession. Therefore, she took part in the ceremonies associated with the death of Queen Elizabeth II. In particular, her signature is on the document, which officially records the ascension of Charles III to the throne.

Predictions for the outcome of the fight

Many British newspapers on Friday write that the return of Boris Johnson to Downing Street is not only possible, although a couple of months ago it seemed incredible, but the main fight will most likely unfold between him and Sunak .

For example, the Daily Mail writes that these two politicians “fight for the souls of the Tories”, and Johnson has every chance of becoming a favorite.
