iPad Labor Day Discounts 2021

It’s important to consider whether you really need a new iPad right now. You? It’s a tempting gadget, but if your lifestyle doesn’t really need a tablet, then there’s no reason to dive into it, even if Labor Day iPad sales are amazing. Having said that, if you’re a dedicated tablet user and your existing one looks rather old and dated, Labor Day iPad discounts mean you can enjoy a better tablet for less money.

As always, think about your budget before doing anything. There are a wide range of different iPads these days, so it’s possible to spend relatively little or a lot, depending on whether you go for the high-end iPad Pro or not. iPad Labor Day discounts can help here, but only if you can afford the remaining price.

As a rule, Labor Day is a great time to make any purchases. Summer is usually a quiet time for sales outside of Prime Day, and retailers are keen to entice you to shop now as the final months of the year approach. It’s unlikely we’ll see other discounts of this tier before Black Friday, and chances are you’ll want to enjoy your new iPad now rather than later. Typically, these days, Black Friday discounts can be more than iPad sales on Labor Day, so there’s not much to look forward to. Plus, when buying late in the year, you may find your bank account stretched out with holiday spending, so buying an iPad now can help take the load off.

There is also the benefit of having a new iPad right now. If you need it for work or school, you won’t want to wait, right? You can immediately take advantage of all the benefits without waiting for November.

Just remember – don’t be tempted to buy a new iPad if you really don’t need it. A new iPad is a pretty expensive investment, even if you’re buying a budget one on sale, and it’s important to be committed and genuinely need a purchase to get the best value for money. It’s also worth considering that Apple frequently announces new products in September, so you might want to wait and spend more on the latest device if the latest technology is important to you.

When thinking about buying a new iPad in the Labor Day iPad Sale, it’s important to know you’re buying the right one for you. Although the range of iPads is small, each device has its strengths and weaknesses, and you don’t want to miss out on the features that matter to you.

Check out our take on the best iPads before you find out about the Labor Day iPad discounts going on right now. This is a good overview of what to expect.

Overall, the 11-inch Apple iPad Pro is the best iPad when money doesn’t matter. It’s as powerful as a laptop thanks to the Apple M1 processor and features a stunning Liquid Retina LED display. Upgrade to 12.9inch version and you get a Liquid Retina XDR mini LED display that looks even better. It’s fantastic for creative professionals in particular thanks to its high performance and support for the Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil 2, which means you can draw and type on it very easily. However, this may be overkill if you just want to stream content on the Internet or browse the Internet on a screen larger than your smartphone.

The best deal is the iPad Air, which is one of the best tablets right now. With a discount on the iPad’s Labor Day deals, it’s sure to get even more irresistible. Available in a wide range of colors, it uses the Apple A14 Bionic chip to get the job done and has an excellent 10.92360 x 1640 inch display. A few concessions are made, such as not offering a great camera, but supporting the Magic Keyboard and the second generation Apple Pencil, it’s a very solid all-rounder that should satisfy most users.

One of the most discounted products in the iPad lineup is the Apple iPad, which is featured prominently in Labor Day iPad deals. This is a budget option, very affordable, but at the same time very comfortable and functional. Its performance isn’t as fast as the others listed here, but it’s still more than adequate for browsing, gaming, or streaming content. There’s also 10 hours of battery life plus an 8MP rear camera, so it covers all the basics you need. Just be aware that you may need more storage than the base 32GB that comes as standard.

Last but not least, the iPad Mini with a small screen. If you’re looking for maximum portability, this is the device for you. It still has a decent A12 Bionic chip like a standard iPad, but its 7.9-inch display makes it perfect for reading on the go as well as streaming in more intimate contexts. It’s typically more expensive than a standard iPad, but as part of the Labor Day iPad sale, it might be time to enjoy less viewing for less money.

Whatever you choose, storage is your number one decision once you’ve chosen an iPad. There is no way to upgrade iPad storage, so make sure you use sales to get the most bang for your buck by buying more storage than you need.

iPad or e-reader. What to choose for reading

The iPad is a great gadget for reading books, but it’s important to choose the tablet model that suits you best. Personally, I settled on the iPad Air 2020, which in general suits me with everything. However, I also have a Ritmix e-book on Android, which I have been using for almost 10 years. Despite the fact that the e-mail is very outdated, in terms of reading it is still no worse than the iPad. So what to choose for reading – Apple tablet or e-book? Here are some interesting thoughts on this.

Which iPad to choose for reading

Personally, I chose the iPad Air 2020, first of all, for work. True, it turned out that I use the tablet more as a reader, but in this capacity it is sometimes not very convenient. Firstly, it is heavy and bulky in itself, so it’s impossible to get comfortable before going to bed. Second, Smart Folio — you have to take it off: you don’t really like to install the book horizontally, and it’s rather problematic to hold such a bandura in your hands.

I only read vertically, but holding the iPad with one hand is a little tricky. However, they work most effectively when viewing pages in Safari, videos, and social networks. These applications are united by the fact that we do not sit in them for 30-40 minutes without getting out. But reading just requires concentration, so the iPad is not suitable. Despite the convenient reader in iOS, there is also no ideal page color: light eyes get tired even during the day.

Smart Folio has to be disconnected all the time to make it easier to hold the tablet

If you read text with a black background, this page will be printed in your eyes after 10-15 minutes if you close the application. But there are also pluses: the application interface works quickly, unlike an e-book, it remembers where you left off and does not reset progress, and additional settings can save you from accidental touches.

But if you choose reading tablet , then, in my opinion, it is better to buy an iPad mini 6 – it is better due to its size and really resembles a book, and not a hefty encyclopedia like the iPad Air.

E-reader or iPad

My e-reader Ritmix runs on Android 4. 0 and will never be updated again as Google has disabled support for such devices even a year ago. But is it necessary for e-mail? Of course not: in all the years I’ve only connected it to the Internet a couple of times to download a couple of applications, but I wish I hadn’t. The browser is slow, the launcher restarts at high loads, so the tablet functions here are purely for show.

Another thing – functions for reading : there are keys on the side for turning pages and exiting the application. It is convenient that you can control the device without touching the screen! By the way, it is resistive here, so you need to press it harder with your finger, but it is better to use a stylus or a fingernail. Not particularly convenient, but there are no problems with accidental touches. Image quality is also average – like Android smartphones of the early 2010s.

There are dedicated buttons for navigating content. Comfortable!

As a reader, I use FB2 Reader – it is here by default and works very well. The feature of any e-reader is fb2 files: books in this format are easier to find, in any case, full versions are easy to find, unlike epud for iPad, which often come across in excerpts. But it’s more difficult to transfer the file – you have to connect the book to the laptop via the miniUSB connector, which you won’t find with fire during the day.

Sometimes the book runs out of power and it takes 20 minutes just for it to start charging

The reader has not been updated for a long time – here it is close in spirit to iBooks in iOS 6 . Turning pages sometimes does not work, but the eyes do not get tired of reading, even though there are no software gadgets like Night Shift. The Ritmix book has a very low screen brightness threshold of , so you can dim the screen so that it’s easy to read in the dark. However, when reading during the day, the brightness is sometimes not enough, even if it is already at maximum.

Plus, the battery is quite old and can be discharged in a day and a half if the book is lying and not being used.
