The 15 Best LEGO Architecture Sets
pop culture
Michael Caloca / ONE37pm

Since the theme’s inception in 2008, LEGO Architecture has brought some of the world’s most recognizable landmarks to life year after year. While the builds have gotten more complex over time (thank goodness they did, the very first ones were way too minimalist), there is a certain charm that comes with these scaled-down models of real-world locations.
The Architecture series is aimed at more mature, adult collectors. They do not include LEGO mini-figures and they are built to a scaled-down size, often using as few pieces as possible to build the monuments, buildings, and skylines that represent our global community.
While the Architecture theme may not be for everyone, those that love it—like myself—tend to be pretty dedicated fans. From its earlier inceptions to the “skyline series” that debuted in 2016, the LEGO Architecture theme has endured and put out some incredible sets. Today we’ll be taking a look at the Best 15 LEGO Architecture sets released so far!
1.) Statue of Liberty (21042)
LEGO Group
2018 – Present / 1,685 pieces
Bigger doesn’t always mean better, but it sure does in the case of ol’ Lady Liberty! This set is an amazing display piece and it utilizes some really unique sculpting and building techniques. This set is not one I’d recommend to new builders, but it is definitely one of the best displayable LEGO sets available today.
buy on amazon, $96
2.) Empire State Building (21046)
LEGO
2019 – Present / 1,767 pieces
Much like the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building is a behemoth of a set that will take several hours for you to build but will make for a great conversation piece when it’s complete. This set will tower over your other LEGO sets, and while the build may be very repetitive, it is one that will be hard to forget.
buy on amazon, $103.99
3.) Fallingwater (21005)
LEGO
2009 – 2015 / 881 pieces
While this set isn’t #1 on this “best of” list, it is my personal favorite for several reasons. First and foremost, it’s an amazing build; from the small details in the greenery to the unique shape of the building, Fallingwater displays beautifully and commands attention.
I grew up about an hour from where Fallingwater is located in Mill Run, PA. I always wanted this set, but it came out in my “dark age”—a term LEGO collectors use to refer to a time when they’re not actively buying sets. I missed the opportunity to get it when it was on store shelves, but about two years ago I bought a collection on Facebook Marketplace and found this sitting in the bottom of a bin full of loose bricks. That is still one of the happiest moments of my life as a LEGO collector!
buy on amazon, $600
4.) Arc de Triomphe (21036)
LEGO
2017 – 2018 (short life!) / 386 pieces
Of all the LEGO Architecture sets, this one had the shortest window of availability. It is a masterful model of the iconic Arc in Paris, France, and is among my favorites ever released. It captures all of the essences of the real Arc without sacrificing anything—besides size!
buy on amazon, $109.95
5.) The White House (21054)
LEGO
2020 – Present / 1,483 pieces
There are two LEGO White Houses, both in the Architecture line, but this one reigns supreme. It comes with a 1×2 tile with the American flag printed on it, and if you’re strapped for display space, you can remove the East and West wings to take up less space. Talk about a great feature!
buy on amazon, $106.99
6.) Trevi Fountain (21020)
LEGO
2014 – 2016 / 731 pieces
This set depicts the iconic Trevi Fountain found in Rome, Italy, and it spares no details. From the horses in the water to the detailing of the pillars and windows, this set utilizes a blue and white color scheme that makes it stand out from every other set in the line.
buy on amazon, $254.99
7.) The Eiffel Tower (21019)
LEGO
2014 – 2018 / 321 pieces
Perhaps the most iconic of the LEGO Architecture structures, the Eiffel Tower had one of the longest availability windows of any set in the theme. The set utilizes a lot of interesting features to achieve its “tower” shape. The top section is not very sturdy, but the design of the set and display value more than make up for it.
buy on amazon, $104.48
8.) United States Capitol Building (21030)
LEGO
2016 – 2019 / 1,032 pieces
This set is among the largest Architecture sets in terms of width, and it utilized a very unique blend of colors to bring the iconic American structure to life in LEGO form. I sometimes wonder how well these American government-centered buildings sell outside of the US. It’s hard for me to picture a collector in Germany wanting a set like this, but hey, you never know!
buy on amazon, $269.99
9.) The Louvre (21024)
LEGO
2015 – 2017 / 695 pieces
The Louvre is absolutely beautiful in person, and its LEGO counterpart lives up to the real thing. Utilizing a wide array of flat tiles, this set has a certain smoothness to it that very few LEGO sets achieve. This is definitely a must-have!
buy on amazon, $209.98
10.) Big Ben (21013)
LEGO
2012 – 2016 / 346 pieces
Of all the LEGO Architecture sets, I think Big Ben was the best value for your dollar compared to the likeness of what it set out to represent. It’s a small build but packs the punch of Big Ben’s iconic towering presence. I got this one used, but man am I glad I did! It always brings a smile to people’s faces when I give them the tour of my LEGO collection.
buy on amazon, $149.98
11.) Buckingham Palace (21029)
LEGO
2016 – 2018 / 780 pieces
Although I’ve never been to Buckingham Palace, having the LEGO set is the next best thing. This set is unique to all others due to its inclusion of the London Bus out front. Very few LEGO Architecture sets feel “lived in” and real in the way that this one does, and I will always love this set for that reason.
buy on amazon, $144.97
12.) Sydney Opera House (21012)
LEGO
2012 – 2014 / 270 pieces
The Sydney Opera House is one of the most iconic Architecture structures in the modern world, and its LEGO counterpart captures all of its beauty in scaled-down fashion. I think if LEGO remade this one, they could build it a little more sleekly, but this set still gets across its likeness and displays beautifully.
buy on amazon, $258.94
13.) Leaning Tower of Pisa (21015)
LEGO
2013 – 2015 / 345 pieces
Very few LEGO sets are built with an intentional lean, so when they set out to do one, they had better do it right. The LEGO Leaning Tower of Pisa absolutely delivers, and the clever build of the set’s base allows the tower to truly lean just like its real-world inspiration.
buy on amazon, $241.26
14.) New York City Skyline (21028)
LEGO
2016 – Present / 598 pieces
LEGO created the skyline sub-theme for Architecture in 2016 and a lot of fans love it because it lets you display many (smaller) locations from a city instead of just one large structure for a similar price. While some of the other skyline sets have great builds and features, the New York City skyline reigns supreme, from its large Empire State Building to its miniaturized Statue of Liberty.
buy on amazon, $56.25
15.) Paris Skyline (21044)
LEGO
2019 – Present / 649 pieces
Another selection from LEGO’s skyline Architecture sub-theme, the Paris skyline offers all of the subtleties of Paris in one condensed row. The Eiffel Tower reigns over the set (as it should) with the Tour Montparnasse not far behind it. This set utilized several interesting structural builds that allowed it to have a unique feel when compared to any of the other LEGO Architecture skyline offerings
buy on amazon, $40

Top 10 LEGO Architecture bricks in 2023
LEGO bricks have long been a unique phenomenon among puzzles. This is a universal gift for girls and boys, for children and adults. The advantages are most pronounced in the “Architecture” series. Find out what the beauty of this series is and where you can get a good deal on this classic.
How to deliver LEGO bricks from the USA
In 2023, the best way to buy LEGO bricks is to order from an American online store, such as Amazon. Prices for goods in America have always been lower, and the range – higher. These arguments remain valid. Only questions remain: how to pay for the designer in an American online store with a Russian card, and how to deliver the purchase to Russia.
The answer to both questions is to use the services of Parcel. Register on the site in order to order any items from the USA through the Buying Help service. In this case, you only need to pay for the services of the Parcel, for which cards of Russian banks are suitable. You do not even have to register on the websites of foreign retailers. When things arrive at the Parcels warehouse, you can arrange delivery to Russia. Two delivery options: by courier to the door or pickup from the courier service.
Topping up the balance in the Personal Account of the Parcel is quite simple with the help of cryptocurrency. We have described the process in a step by step guide. In short, you register on the site of the crypto wallet, after which you can transfer rubles to US dollars on the Banderolka website.
Buying LEGO Architecture building sets is an opportunity to add to your personal collection and make a great gift. Constructors for adults and children with recognizable buildings in the assembled form are perceived as a first-class decor item. Needless to say, the assembly process is so exciting that you will forget to take breaks for lunch and sleep?
The San Francisco Landmarks Constructor consists of the Transamerica Pyramid, Coit Tower, the famous city hills, and of course the Golden Gate Bridge. A fairly simple constructor is sold on Amazon for $50.
Trafalgar Square reproduces in detail one of the most famous squares in Europe. The comparatively large construction set allows you to assemble in miniature the National Gallery (even with hidden interior and works of art), Nelson’s Column, lampposts, trees and double-decker buses.
Although this is a relatively complex adult model, the result is well worth the effort. The designer is equipped with 60 LEDs that create stylish evening lighting.
LEGO New-York is made up of some of the city’s most iconic structures. The set includes the Statue of Liberty and detailed models of the Chrysler, Empire State and World Trade Center skyscrapers. This construction toy has 598 parts and is comparatively simpler than previous models, so it is suitable for teens from 12 years old.
All fans of the beautiful city will definitely like to collect the constructor, which has all the main city attractions. The Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the Tour Montparnasse, the Champs Elysees, the Grand Palace and the Louvre with trees and grass coexist on the same site. In addition, there are tiny Parisian houses.
A large 649-piece LEGO set was available for just $40 at the time of writing.
This is probably one of the most ambitious miniatures in the LEGO collection. it is necessary to convey the style of tall skyscrapers, and it must be admitted that the company’s designers succeeded. The building set consists of scale models of the Burj Khalifa (the tallest building in the world), the Jumeirah Emirates Towers, the 7-star Burj Al Arab Jumeirah, the Dubai Fountain and the Dubai Frame.
One of the simplest construction sets, although there was a place for many London sights in the set. There is Tower Bridge, Big Ben, the London Eye carousel, the National Gallery and Nelson’s Column. The impressive LEGO set is one of the most affordable: if you’re lucky enough to get it on sale, it’s only $32.
See a unique LEGO set designed not just for adults, but for the most dedicated fans. The miniature Taj Mahal consists of 6,000 parts, and when assembled, the dimensions of the model are 50x50x40 cm. The four facades of the palace are skillfully reproduced, there is even a legendary crypt under the dome.
Do not be surprised that the cost of the designer is $700. It is also worth considering that this set belongs to the rarities and you can only buy from a few small sellers on Amazon, so hurry up if you want to become the owner of a rarity.
Leaning Tower of Pisa LEGO is another legendary model that is hard to buy in 2023. You can order it from Amazon, and since there are only 345 pieces in the set, it is quite suitable as a gift for a child.
The Empire State Building was one of the first Lego Architecture sets released in 2008, but this updated version has gone from a simple 77-piece model to a whopping 1,700+ piece project. This is one of the tallest Lego Architecture sets, measuring 55 cm high, 20 cm wide and 12 cm deep.
The impressive and intricate Empire State Building is without a doubt one of the best LEGO Architecture sets you can buy in 2023 shipping from America.
Is it possible to convey not only the charm of architecture, but also the power of nature with the help of LEGO bricks? We think it is possible: the set with the Roman Trevi Fountain is proof of that. Admittedly, this amazing Baroque masterpiece looks sketchy in a LEGO miniature, but this is also one of the outgoing construction sets that has all but disappeared from sale.
Register on the website of Banderolka and buy LEGO sets of the “Architecture” series with delivery from the USA.

1
Great Pyramid of Giza
Historical set with two display options
Set no. : 21058
Number of parts: 1476
900 03 Age: 17+
Pluses
- Layered
- Shows a realistic cross-section
- Can buy lights as an add-on
Cons
- Need a second model to complete the pyramid
Lego Architecture The Great Pyramid of Giza consists of a large outer shell that sits on a cross section of the inner pyramid (which gives you two ways to display the model).
This cross section shows in great detail how the original pyramid could have been built, with structural elements woven into the structure of the pyramid. The presence of the shell and internal structure is consistent with how the pyramid originally looked, but this is not accurate, since much of the outer white shell of the real pyramid has already worn off.
Due to the high level of detail, this model is only half of the entire pyramid. It works as a standalone piece, but if you feel like you can’t display just half of the pyramid, you can always buy another set and attach a second structure (Lego has holes to connect them together).
2
Statue of Liberty
Detailed set showing Lego genius design
Set no.: 21024
Number of parts: 1685
Age: 16+
Pros
- Wonderful detail
- Great exhibit
- 90 124 Interesting complex assembly
Cons
- No face
Lego Architecture set Statue Liberty is a double design masterpiece that not only provides a strikingly accurate recreation of the base’s architecture, but also somehow mimics the flowing shape of her smooth plastic cape.
At 44 cm high, when assembled, it looks its best on a shelf. The colors are carefully matched to the real ones. Also, if you’re going to have an impressive Lego piece, it’s nice to have one with Lady Liberty’s welcome principles.
3
San Francisco
Adding some perspective and quirkiness
Set #: 21043
Number of parts: 565
Age : 12+
Pros
- Very interesting perspective design
- Lots of little touches
Cons
- Building instructions are hard to read
The Lego Architecture San Francisco set is our favorite of all sets, because it is most suitable for this environment . On the left, you have a number of iconic San Francisco buildings, including the Art Deco Coit Tower, the modern Transamerica Pyramid, and 555 Mid-Century California Street. However, it’s delightful that you also have the steep hill of San Francisco’s famous streets, complemented by a small red brick, reminiscent of trams.
But the really great part is the Golden Gate Bridge, whose two towers are at different heights to give it the appearance of reaching into the distance – even going as far as the second tower of the bridge being behind the little Alcatraz Island in the depths. The set looks brilliant and makes you smile every time you look at it.
4
Trafalgar Square
Impressive architectural detail in London Square
Set No: 21045
Number of parts: 1197
Age: 12+
Pros
- So many recognizable mini-builds
- Grand National Gallery facade 901 25
- …which has art!
Cons
- Building can be a little tedious
How much more beautiful architectural detail could you cram into a Lego Architecture Trafalgar Square set? Not at all. It has the National Gallery which has a hidden interior with art inside! – plus Nelson’s Column surrounded by four lions.
This is in addition to the trees, lampposts and double decker buses, all to scale. Everything looks so busy and detailed. As for the mini dioramas, this is one of our favorite Lego Architecture sets.
5
New York
If you’ve come for the iconic building, you’ve come to the address
Kit #: 21028
Number of parts: 598
90 003 Age: 12+
Pros
- Truly Iconic Buildings
- Fantastic view
Cons
- We would like the statue to have a torch
Do you want big buildings? Here is the Lego Architecture New York set. We have a second appearance of the Statue of Liberty, this time as an ornate micro action figure (no torch, alas, the only downside to this set). The rest of the buildings look great.
The instantly recognizable texture of the Empire State Building, Chrysler’s iconic peak, and we love the scale you get from the size of the World Trade Center. The Flatiron Building is arguably the smartest design here, using circular pieces with a single stanchion in front to create a wedge shape. This is arguably the set that best captures the look of the buildings with a few compromises, although there are others.
6
Tokyo
The most inventive of all Architecture sets
Set #: 21051
Number of parts: 547
Age: 16+
Pros
- Cherry Blossom
- Mount Fuji
- Very cool buildings
Cons
- The design of Tokyo Tower is slightly different
Just like the San Francisco set above, the Lego Tokyo Architecture set is fun with its concept , mixing buildings and places in such a way which is very nice. Again, it’s a great mix of new (Tokyo Skytree, Cocoon Tower and Tokyo Big Sight) and traditional (sakura trees and pagoda).
Mount Fuji looking at it all is the kind of thoughtful touch that really elevates the best of these sets. The finishing touch is a collection of bright, translucent Lego pieces for Shibuya Crossing that bring the spirit of the neon jungle to your table.
7
Shanghai
Deep aesthetic satisfaction and several very cool buildings
Set No.: 21039
The number of details: 597
Age: 12+
Pros
- Good design
- Great mix of buildings
Cons
- 901 24 Looks less impressive up close
Due to the orderly and pleasant expansion of the building, the rich combination of architectural styles and the pleasant set of colors, the Lego Architecture Shanghai set has every reason to claim the title of the most aesthetically pleasing of the sets. In the photographs and from afar, this, of course, is visible.
The only reason it’s not higher on the list is because it doesn’t look that good up close. The connections are too noticeable compared to the accuracy of the New York set.
But it’s still a great set for all the reasons above and more if you love Shanghai. We appreciate the combination of traditional buildings (Longhua Pagoda, Chenghuang Miao Temple), modern (World Financial Center, Shanghai Tower) and unique (Oriental Pearl). It’s a bit of a pity that Jin Mao’s Tower is not in the set, but you can’t have everything else.
8
Empire State Building
Handsome Lego Giant
Set #: 21046
Parts: 1767
90 003 Age: 16+
Pros
- Biggest set here
- Fabulous recreation of the building
- There is a small 5th avenue with a taxi
Cons
- Over 600 pieces of bars
Its height is 55 cm, making it the tallest Lego Architecture set to date. And it’s a beautiful, flawless recreation of the building. So why is it not higher in this ranking?
Stunning as it is, part of using Lego to reflect the look of the real thing – the “lattice”. This is the same trick used in New York above, only on a much larger scale.
9
Paris
Overall good set
Set no.: 21044
Number of parts: 649
Age: 12+
Pros
- Fun build
- Great cross-section of landmarks
Cons
- Not sure about all building options
The Lego Architecture Paris set is perfect in small buildings and we love it for that. The Grand Palais’ clean roof and intricate façade are expertly crafted, the Louvre pyramid is perfect, the little Parisian houses are charming, the Arch is a triumph, and there’s even a hint of the Champs Elysées.
The Eiffel Tower is divisive. We think it’s actually a really impressive piece of Lego engineering to make it look good at this scale, but it looks tiny in real life, which honestly hurts us to say. However, like all the sets here, not bad in any case – just not quite believable. However, we are surprised by the inclusion of the Montparnasse Tower in the set – Tour First and Tour Majunga are much more interesting.
10
Dubai
Desert gem on your table
Set no.: 21052
Number of parts: 740
Age: 16+
Pros
- Really impressive buildings
- Excellent piece of modern architecture
Cons
- Burj Khalifa is not as good as it really is
The only reason the Lego Architecture Dubai set is not taller is because, again, it looks like in the pictures better than the set. The Burj Al Arab is magnificent, as are the towers of Jumeirah Emirates. The Dubai frame seems like a bit of a hoax considering it’s just a finished assembled Lego door frame, but you can hardly fault the overall result.
11
London
Set No: 21034
Parts: 468
Age: 12+
Plus s
- Large Big Ben and Tower Bridge
- Beautiful background design from London Eyes
Cons
- We want more buildings
While the miniature versions of all the buildings in the Lego Architecture London set are excellent, we can’t help but feel like we only have some (acclaimed) classics, only the London Eye represents something new. You can tell that the Paris set does the same but has more buildings, while this one is limited to only four (we count Nelson’s Column and the National Gallery as one).
However, the Lego Architecture London set actually looks better than the photos. So, if you like what you see here, be sure to buy without hesitation. It is also arguably one of the cheapest around here.
12
Las Vegas
What happens on your table, stays on your table
Set no.: 21047
Number of parts: 501
9000 3 Age: 12+
Pros
- Delightful Bellagio and fountain design
- Luxor and Las Vegas sign looks great
Cons
- Other models are questionable
Us like 50 percent of the Lego Architecture Las Vegas set, but the other half leaves us relatively cold compared to other sets on this list.
We understand that recreating Frank Gehry’s Lou Ruvo Center on this scale would be…difficult to say the least, but we just feel like there are more inspiring buildings in Las Vegas. But the set is still more than worth the money, if only considering the beautiful Bellagio façade and its small fountains.
Bonus! More Beautiful Buildings Than Lego Architecture
These may not technically be Lego Architecture sets, but if you’re interested in beautiful versions of real Lego buildings, these can’t be ignored:
1
Taj Mahal
One of the largest and most famous Lego sets all time
Set #: 10256
Parts: 5923
Age: 16+
Pros
- 9012 4 Totally stunning design
- Careful detail and scale
Cons
- Quite expensive
The Lego Creator Taj Mahal is one of the most famous Lego sets among collectors because it was the largest ever made in terms of the number of parts until the Lego Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series Millennium Falcon surpassed it a couple of years ago.
This is a huge set that does its best to recreate curved windows and domes, while the transparent elements give the light the right “glow”. If you have the space (and time is a true build giant), this is a great exploration of how the little pieces come together to form a beautiful end result.

Old Trafford Stadium Manchester United
This may be controversial, but this is an unprecedented set of architecture
Set No.: 10272
Number of parts: 3898
Age: 16+
Pros
- Amazingly detailed
- Delicately disassembles to see inside
Cons
- Not for all football fans
Stadiums have always been places that incorporate incredible engineering. This is exactly the case with the Old Trafford Lego Creator Expert set. This 1:600 scale set not only contains the details essential to Manchester United fans, but also includes all of the visible architecture that holds this 110 year old marvel together.
We admit it may not be as majestic for non-United fans, but the care put into its details is still a marvel, from the players tunnel to the statues and the careful placement of each beam, to the mini -commands.
