Things To Consider
Whether you are looking into buying an RTX 3070 prebuilt PC due to stock issues, scalper prices, or you simply haven’t got the time to build one for yourself, there are a few areas to consider first.
Of course, you haven’t got anything like compatibility to worry about when buying a prebuilt PC but we need to ensure one of these 3070 prebuilts can handle your individual gaming needs.
Why Buy An RTX 3070 Prebuilt PC?
The RTX 3070, up until the prices went mental, was one of the best price-to-performance cards on the market, offering a more affordable option into the future of gaming. The 3070 GPU is a beast and with a 3070 prebuilt PC, you are going to have enough power to smash every game you desire up to 1440p resolution in max settings.
The RTX 3070 has similar performance to the older RTX 2080 Ti, so there is some 4K performance but if you’re a 4K gamer you are going to want to aim a little higher, with the RTX 3080 offering much better results in this area.
The advantages of buying a 3070 prebuilt are mainly down to its modern hardware, giving you a powerful gaming system for years to come. All of our RTX 3070 prebuilts above are from reputable manufacturers and while their warranties and benefits may differ from each other, they all produce high-end results.
RTX 3070 Prebuilt Gaming PC Vs. Custom
We always recommend that you build your own computer here at WePC and that is for one simple reason – value. It is no secret that you can squeeze in better hardware for your cash when building your own system, with the markup on prebuilt computers usually costing the same amount as an entire component ($100-$300).
Performance
While the performance of these 3070 prebuilt PCs is solid, when building your own you could in theory include a better CPU or GPU into your computer without spending more. This means you could get even better performance for your hard-earned cash, get better in-game results, and future-proof your investment for longer.
Convenience
The main selling point behind a prebuilt is it saves you the hassle. We understand that not everyone knows how to build a computer and may not even have the time to learn this new skill, so the convenience of a prebuilt makes a lot of sense. Of course, there are many more benefits to buying a prebuilt gaming PC from manufacturers, obviously, it takes the stress away from finding all the compatible components, while also preventing damage to said components when the time comes to build it.
With a prebuilt gaming PC, you are going to be able to send it back to the manufacturer if anything goes wrong. Furthermore, if you feel you need an upgrade, suppliers will often do this for you or at least insist you send it to them for an upgrade. Manufacturers will also dish out a warranty, usually covering parts and labor for around a year but some companies offer impressive warranties and you can always spend extra on insurance, giving you a lengthy/ lifetime warranty.
A prebuilt from the biggest manufacturers around the world aren’t just packaged nicely for you either, they normally stress test the system to ensure the components are working before shipping and that it performs as it should. You will also receive your system with software, usually with Windows and drivers pre-installed, so you can simply plug it in and start downloading games.

> Assembly with Core i5-11600K and GeForce RTX 3070 Ti: not cheap, but cheerful

One page
Last time, in the summer heat, the Core i7-11700K boiled even under a 3-section dropsy when ASUS MultiCore Enhancement technology was enabled on the motherboard. This time they took Core i5-11600K , saving about $150. Its 6 cores in 12 threads are enough for most games, especially with a frequency formula of 3.9-4.9 GHz and an unlocked multiplier. Although do not count on a high increase in overclocking – we have already checked it in one of the previous materials.
The processor itself is provided by the BRAIN online store. In it you will find a huge selection of goods: components, peripherals, finished PCs, laptops and much more.
For overclocking the RAM and stable operation of the processor, we took the top motherboard ASUS ROG Strix Z590-A Gaming Wi-Fi . It supports the 10th and 11th generation of Intel Core out of the box. And if you still have to update the firmware, then it’s easy and simple to do this using BIOS Flashback. Other features are also unlikely to disappoint you.
It’s better not to skimp on cooling in this heat, especially with a 125-watt processor. We entrusted this task to the 3-section dropsy Lian Li GALAHAD AIO 360 RGB . It is available in white and black versions with permanent address illumination. Suitable for many mainstream Intel and AMD platforms. Sold with a 5 year warranty.
If the savings on the processor was about $150, then replacing the RTX 3080 Ti with a 3070 Ti reduces the total cost of the assembly by $900. We met the chosen Palit GeForce RTX 3070 Ti GamingPro in the previous article. It has a reference frequency formula, almost 3-slot cooler with double ball bearing fans and “0 decibel” technology.
Since we have 8 GB of video memory, and not 12, as last time, we took more RAM – a kit DDR4-3600 G.Skill TridentZ NEO for 32 GB. There is no point in chasing the frequency higher anyway – we checked it last time. But the extra volume will be appreciated by some gluttons like Call of Duty and Godfall.
For data storage, it is more convenient for us to use two drives. On one we install the system and the necessary software, and on the second we record games. In this case, we are talking about a 500-gigabyte Seagate BarraCuda 510 and 2 terabyte Seagate FireCuda 520 , respectively.
The 850W power source helped us last time. This time the system is enough for a 750-watt Seasonic PRIME TX-750 . This is a reliable “titanium” long-liver with a quiet FDB-bearing turntable, minimal voltage spread on key lines and a 12-year warranty.
Housing Lian Li LANCOOL II MESH RGB did not change, because you quickly get used to the good. And then there is separate access to two key compartments, ease of installation of overall components, the possibility of vertical installation of a video card and excellent ventilation of the internal space.
If you are interested in the cost of such a PC, then according to Hotline at the time of assembly, we get about $ 3600, 30% of which falls on the video card.
Forgot to mention: the image was displayed on the AOC U2790PQU monitor, and the gameplay itself was recorded by an external system with AVerMedia Live Gamer 4K i.e. without loss of performance.
There were no problems during assembly. We note only some of the nuances. As in the case of the Core i7-11700K, the boxed version of the Core i5-11600K processor comes without a cooler – think about cooling it right away at the time of purchase.
Connecting the processor power to the motherboard is not very convenient. Otherwise, there are no complaints. Last time we updated the BIOS to the latest stable version 0902.
CBO – large and bright when the backlight is on. Especially for perfectionists, the upper part of the water block can be rotated in order to at least one iota increase harmony in this imperfect world. There were no problems with the installation.
The RAM is expensive, but very beautiful. And with the subsequent activation of the XMP profile, there were no problems.
SSD was taken specially without heatsinks in order to make the most of the capabilities of the motherboard and its coolers – it was not in vain that they took the top one!
And the case is a pleasure to work with, from installing a dropsy on the front panel to hidden cable management. We collected everything in haste, but it turned out well. You are sure to do even better.
Immediately after assembling and installing the necessary software, we checked the system for stability. Last time, ASUS MultiCore Enhancement throttled the Core i7-11700K. But the Core i5-11600K turned out to be not so hot, and dropsy coped with its cooling even with this auto-overclocking technology turned on. The frequency of the cores rose to 4.6 GHz, and the maximum temperature did not exceed 78 ° C. There was no throttling on the horizon.
Now let’s go through the games in 4K Ultra HD resolution.
In the summer heat, it is logical to start with Sea of Thieves at the maximum preset.
