→ How do I wash off the toner?
People suffer from toner powder after it enters the lungs and on the skin – this is a common consequence of self-refilling the cartridge. So that you do not engage in such nonsense, we have refilling cartridges with a home visit in Ufa. For those who managed to suffer from a fine powder spreading in the air, we wrote this small instruction.
What should I do if I spill toner?
Different surfaces absorb the powder in different ways, so the procedure depends on the surface on which it spilled. However, there are principles that should be followed in any case:
- Use cold water . Under the action of heat, the toner melts – this is the main way it is applied to paper. In hot and warm water, the toner does not dissolve, but it begins to smear, turn into dirt and is very well absorbed into the skin. The toner absorbed into the skin is removed only together with the skin, i.e. scraping.
- Use a vacuum cleaner with fine mechanical filter . Powder sizes of 5-20 microns are 2-3 times smaller than household dust, so a conventional vacuum cleaner only redistributes the toner in the air.
- The water filter on the vacuum cleaner is useless . Most toner powders are water-repellent, so filtration with water does not give a predictable result.
- Do not throw toner down the drain . Due to its moisture-repellent properties and small particle size, it is not washed off, but smeared on a solid surface or distributed in a thin layer over water.

Different toners consist of particles of different sizes, but they are equally harmful: refilling an HP cartridge in Ufa or Canon differ slightly in terms of the degree of absorption of the toner into clothes.
