Why upload data to the cloud?

One of the benefits of saving PS4 game data to the cloud is convenience. How to upload PS4 game data to online storage

If you want to start using cloud storage, follow these simple steps:

  1. Select “Settings”.

    Go to main screen and scroll right until you highlight Settings .

  2. Select Manage Application Saved Data.

    Highlight and select Application saved Data management parameter .

  3. Select saved data in system storage.

  4. Select Upload to online storage.

  5. Load your game data.

    Go to the game you want to save, click the Download button in the lower right corner if you want to save.

How to set your PS4 to automatically download your data

Your PS4 can be set to download relevant game data to online storage on its own when it is in rest mode. To enter rest mode, you need to press and hold the Home button (PS logo) in the center of the controller. Then go to the power button icon and select Enter rest mode . You will know that the console is in rest mode on the front panel. The LED indicator turns orange instead of white.

In order for your PS4 to be able to maintain an internet connection while in rest mode and thus upload game data to the cloud, make sure Stay Connected to the Internet is enabled in the power saving settings.
