Speaker volume controller | Patch panel | PA System

When there is a need to control the volume of speakers, a volume controller shall be required, either at localized area or from the rack. Often a group of speakers at a localized area such as meeting room or function room shall need volume controller and also local music source, independently from the main feed, but would require a bypass in case of emergency broadcast. Amperes has all the parts to achieve this ..

Various ratings of speaker volume controllers are available to choose from and speaker patch is available for patching local source to a localised speakers while allowing central paging overriding signal. They had been serving well for the past decade.

PR7400 allows central paging to override a local source, without the availability of 24V DC overriding signal. Please click to read further of what it can offer.

The available functions of the unit shall be :

Relay :

NO and NC relay of 1A contact allows local BGM source overriding, bypass local volume controller to allow central paging to pass through. This is useful during essential paging and whenever 24V DC overriding signal is not available in the cabling works.

100V – Line audio converter

When it is required that the central paging to be broadcasted to local speakers utilising the local amplifier / system, it provides an audio conversion with balanced line audio.

Adjusting the volume of the earpiece on an Android device through the main settings

Any smartphone user is able to adjust the volume of the device, but not everyone knows how to adjust the volume on an android. It would seem that he pressed the button up – the sound intensified, pressed down – it became quiet. But there are times when the volume control is at its maximum, and the sound is barely audible. For those who are not happy with this, there are a number of ways to bypass these restrictions and increase the volume on Android.

Contents

Adjusting the volume on Android phones and tablets

Not every Android smartphone can boast a loud speaker. Often this volume does not even depend on the quality of the playback device and its location on the case. It’s just that the manufacturer lowers the maximum volume level for the safety of the user’s hearing and to increase the life of the speaker itself.

Manufacturer restrictions can be bypassed in standard and non-standard ways, which will tell you how to increase the speaker volume on android.

1 way In the phone settings

The fastest and most convenient way is to make changes to the device settings. It is also effective if the button that controls the volume is damaged.

The algorithm is simple:

  1. You need to open “Settings” and find the section “Sound” (or something related to “audio”).
  1. In the menu that opens, use the sliders to adjust the sound volume of all types of effects (melody, alarm clock, call, etc.). If necessary, you can also change other audio settings here (ringtone, message sound, silent mode selection, etc.).

Method 2 Through the engineering menu

The developers of smartphones and the Android OS deliberately hid this menu from the user. An uninitiated person is able to change the settings, up to the loss of device performance, tk. You can change any parameters, not just the volume of the speaker or microphone.

Therefore, increasing the volume on android through the engineering menu is possible only after gaining access by a special code. It can be universal or specific (depending on the brand of the device).

Procedure:

  1. You need to press the button to make a phone call and enter the access code in the phone number field.

For most Chinese manufacturers (Xiaomi, Meizu, etc.) it is *#*#6484#*#* , *#*#54298#*#* or *#*#3646633#*#* .

For Samsung TM it is *#*#197328640#*#* .

For Huawei *#*#2846579#*#* or *#*#2846579159#*#* .

If nothing fits, then it is better to look in the instructions for your device or on the official website of the manufacturer.

  1. After entering the code, you need to press the call button. After that, the engineering menu will start. You must select the Hardware Testing section. If it does not open with a simple click, you can try moving to the right.
  1. Then you need to find the Audio subsection and click on it.

Available 4 kinds of sound mode will open:

  • Normal Mode – speaker sound only;
  • Headset Mode – headphone sound;
  • LoudSpeaker Mode – loudspeaker sound level;
  • Headset_LoudSpeaker Mode – sound level when talking in headphones.

In the settings menu that opens, you will see two digits for each mode. The first is the current volume level, the second is the maximum possible level. The first indicator can be edited to the value of the second.

After editing, press button Set .

Manufacturers of any Android devices have nothing to do with the development of patches. This is the brainchild of programmers-enthusiasts. It was they who figured out how to amplify the sound on android by making changes to the system directories and removing the speaker volume limits. However, the search for such patches is not an easy and risky business (there is a high probability of introducing viruses into the device).

Action algorithm:

  1. You need to get root rights to your device.
  2. Find and install the recovery menu for Android, designed to change system settings. The most popular are TeamWin Recovery or CWM Recovery.
  1. Find and download the required patch. The easiest way to find it is on a specialized forum dedicated to this topic. Move the patch to a memory card or to the memory of the phone itself (if a slot for a flash drive is not provided).
  2. Just in case, it is recommended to create a backup copy of the device’s system.
  3. Insert the card into the smartphone and start installing the patch.

When using TeamWin Recovery, just click the “Install” button.

Next, open the flash drive and select a patch from the downloaded archive.

Press the Install IMG button and wait for the process to complete.

  1. After the installation of the patch, an application or an additional item in the OS settings will appear.

Programs that will help increase the sound

If the first two methods do not cause any difficulties, then you should try installing one of the many applications that are available in the Google Play Market. The maximum allowable volume level of the speakers will not be exceeded, but it will be possible to bypass a couple of restrictions.

Volume Booster GOODEV

The purpose of this application is purely volume control. This program is an alternative to the standard settings of the device.

When starting the application, the user will see a warning about the danger of high sound levels for hearing. To continue working, you need to familiarize yourself with it and click the OK button. A window will appear on the screen with a single Boost slider. By moving it to the maximum mark, the user will receive 60% of the speaker’s peak volume.

You will also be able to start using the application after reading the warning about the danger of loudness to hearing and speakers and pressing the OK button. Then everything is simple – you need to move the volume and amplifier sliders. The program will also not allow you to achieve more than 60% of the maximum allowable volume.

Quick Volume Controls

This is an application for more serious control of the volume and sound quality of your device. It allows you to fine-tune all the elements. Such a demanding approach will make the operation of the smartphone more comfortable for the user.

The program is distinguished not only by its versatility, but also by its user-friendly interface, which can be changed “for yourself”.

Music Volume EQ

In fact, this is an equalizer for Android devices. The main purpose is to improve the sound quality when listening to music, watching videos, and playing games. It is possible to create a widget with a volume control on the desktop of the device.

The positive side of the application is that it is free, easy to set up and use.

Weaknesses – no localization, contains an advertising banner (there is no way to disable ads), the application is not transferred to the device’s SD card.

It is worth noting that each of the considered ways to increase the volume has its pros and cons. As you can see, there are many opportunities to do this. The choice of the appropriate option, each user must make independently, based on individual needs.

Default sound volume settings – Windows drivers

The SndVol program (see SysTray and SndVol32) displays a set of volume sliders. The sliders indicate volume settings for various audio devices and applications such as speakers and system sounds. There is an endpoint volume for each audio output and input, and an application volume for each application. The audio driver manages only its own endpoint volumes with KSPROPERTY_AUDIO_VOLUMELEVEL. If the driver does not explicitly initialize these volume settings during installation, the operating system chooses its own default values for these settings. The default values chosen by the operating system are not the same across all editions of Windows, and vendors may need to account for these differences to ensure volume levels are not set too high or too low immediately after a driver is installed.

In general, if an audio adapter controls a set of analog speakers with their own physical volume controls, the INF file should not set the default volume too low. Otherwise, the user may try to compensate by raising the volume of the speakers instead of raising the volume of the master sound card. The result of amplifying a low signal level is a loss of sound quality.

If your audio adapter does not have a hardware amplifier, see Software volume control support for software support.

Note If a hardware amplifier is present, the driver sets the default range and level using the kernel streaming property KSPROPERTY_AUDIO_VOLUMELEVEL . If there is no hardware amplifier, Windows will create a software volume control APO.
If your active speaker set has a physical volume control, it should show up as a HID control in Windows. This will work similarly to the volume up and down buttons on a keyboard; Windows will see the turn of the volume control and will be programmed accordingly to control the volume (be it hardware or software volume).

Ideally, if a set of active speakers comes in the same box as the sound adapter card, the factory should set the volume control on the speakers to the position that best suits the adapter’s default volume setting. If your sound adapter does not have a physical volume control, see Software Volume Control Support for information about software support provided by Windows.

Note If the audio hardware provides hardware volume control (such as a volume control), the driver sets the default range and level using the KSPROPERTY_AUDIO_VOLUMELEVEL kernel streaming property .

The following table shows the default volume ranges and volume levels for audio in different versions of Windows.

Windows Vista SP1
