An attenuator is an volume control device that reduces the power of an amplified signal without distorting its waveform. These are designed for 70V paging and commercial sound systems.

When there is a need to control the volume of speakers, a volume controller shall be required, either at localized area or from the rack. The classic and popular volume controllers ranges from 5W 8 Ohm, 5W 100V Line to 150W 100V line.
Front facial plate is 86 x 86 mm British face plate in white colour and UV protected. Black colour or other types of colour are available upon special request.

7000A Series are of 70 x 120 mm faceplates ( American version ), available in ratings from 10W to 100W 100V line.
Similar to other series, they are suitable for 4 wire system with overriding relay and LED indicator.

VC8000 has slimmer front face plate, with grip slip knob, preventing overturn of the switch. It is available in ratings from 10W 8 Ohm, 10W 100V line to 100W 100V.
It is suitable for 4 wire system installation and comes in standard white colour. Other colour can be requested.
Rack Mount Zone Volume Controllers
The rack mounted versions are meant for installation at central rack. allowing zone by zone volume attenuation.
Standard versions are 6 x 50, 6 x 100 and 6 z 150W per channel. If combinations of wattage is required, it can be customised upon ordering.
Auto Volume Controllers
AV7200 is auto volume controller for localised areas. It varies the speaker volume at 100V line level instead of sending back control data to rack for volume adjustment. As such, it can be applied to existing installations, controlling speaker load of up to 100W.
Among suitable installation areas are shopping malls, transportation stations, public building lobbies, etc.

To utilise the speakers in a localised area such as meeting room, retail unit or restaurants, a patch panel shall be required to allow local amplifier to power up the speakers.
This however would still allow emergency broadcast to override the local music / paging source when required.
VP7501 is 50W in rating comes with standard 86 x 86 mm face plate. American version of 70 x 120 mm is available upon request.
Speaker Overriding Unit
It is normally used in hotel rooms, which allows central paging 100V line audio to override music from TV to a 8 Ohm speaker in bathroom or foyer. In another word, it converts 100V audio line downwards to drive 8 Ohm speaker.
It comes with overriding relay and LED indicator to show the presence of 24V DC overriding voltage.

PR7400 is a new addition to VC / VP category, which is a module for providing a relay contact whenever a paging is in progress, as well as converting the 100V line paging audio to line level, all in a box.
The available functions of the unit shall be :
NO and NC relay of 1A contact allows local BGM source overriding, bypass local volume controller to allow central paging to pass through. This is useful during essential paging and whenever 24V DC overriding signal is not available in the cabling works.

- After entering the code, you need to press the call button. After that, the engineering menu will start. You must select the Hardware Testing section. If it does not open with a simple click, you can try moving to the right.
- Then you need to find the Audio subsection and click on it.
Available 4 kinds of sound mode will open:
- Normal Mode – speaker sound only;
- Headset Mode – headphone sound;
- LoudSpeaker Mode – loudspeaker sound level;
- Headset_LoudSpeaker Mode – sound level when talking in headphones.
In the settings menu that opens, you will see two digits for each mode. The first is the current volume level, the second is the maximum possible level. The first indicator can be edited to the value of the second.
After editing, press button Set .
Manufacturers of any Android devices have nothing to do with the development of patches. This is the brainchild of programmers-enthusiasts. Press the Install IMG button and wait for the process to complete.
- After the installation of the patch, an application or an additional item in the OS settings will appear.
Programs that will help increase the sound
If the first two methods do not cause any difficulties, then you should try installing one of the many applications that are available in the Google Play Market. The maximum allowable volume level of the speakers will not be exceeded, but it will be possible to bypass a couple of restrictions.
Volume Booster GOODEV
The purpose of this application is purely volume control. This program is an alternative to the standard settings of the device.

Default sound volume settings – Windows drivers
The SndVol program (see SysTray and SndVol32) displays a set of volume sliders. The sliders indicate volume settings for various audio devices and applications such as speakers and system sounds. There is an endpoint volume for each audio output and input, and an application volume for each application. The audio driver manages only its own endpoint volumes with KSPROPERTY_AUDIO_VOLUMELEVEL. If the driver does not explicitly initialize these volume settings during installation, the operating system chooses its own default values for these settings. The default values chosen by the operating system are not the same across all editions of Windows, and vendors may need to account for these differences to ensure volume levels are not set too high or too low immediately after a driver is installed.
In general, if an audio adapter controls a set of analog speakers with their own physical volume controls, the INF file should not set the default volume too low. Otherwise, the user may try to compensate by raising the volume of the speakers instead of raising the volume of the master sound card. The result of amplifying a low signal level is a loss of sound quality.

Note If a hardware amplifier is present, the driver sets the default range and level using the kernel streaming property KSPROPERTY_AUDIO_VOLUMELEVEL . If there is no hardware amplifier, Windows will create a software volume control APO.
If your active speaker set has a physical volume control, it should show up as a HID control in Windows. This will work similarly to the volume up and down buttons on a keyboard; Windows will see the turn of the volume control and will be programmed accordingly to control the volume (be it hardware or software volume).
Ideally, if a set of active speakers comes in the same box as the sound adapter card, the factory should set the volume control on the speakers to the position that best suits the adapter’s default volume setting.
