Do you actually need an Apple Watch?
To be honest, you do. That’s because the Apple Watch Series 8 is so much for than a watch or glorified heart rate monitor.
Apple Watches can do everything from track your heart rate to send emails and texts. Your Apple Watch can even detect a car accident and call emergency services. It also offers a lot of fitness tracking options, making it a great wearable to take to the gym, HIIT class or even on a hike.
We love that Apple Watches are sturdy, stylish and boast all that style and technology we Apple users have come to know and love.
Note, however, that you’ll need an Apple iPhone to get the most out of your Apple Watch. They’re not fully compatible with Android phones. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro (on sale for $379, save $70) and Google Pixel Watch make great smartwatch alternatives for Android owners.

“Attack on Titan”: Episode 1 of the 3rd part of the final season – plot analysis, recap and spoilers This is the first half of the third part of the final season, which should end with another special in the fall.
We retell what exactly and why happened on the front line and in the rear of the world war of the titans – of course, with all the spoilers.
To begin with, let’s voice the main question hanging in the air among fans of Attack on Titan. When, finally, is the most final finale? The fact is that the so-called “final season” has been broadcast for the third year (starting from 2020), and the numbering continues to be divided. The real subtitle “the first part of the third part of the fourth season” sounds absurd, and we still don’t remember that the new hour-long episode is divided internally into “Chapter 1. Earth Rumble” and “Chapter 2. Sinners” (the creators seem to have abandoned the through numbering of the entire series, according to which it would be the 88th episode). The good news is that despite the lack of official information, everything indicates that the next special will still complete the great saga of the great war of humanity against the titans and titans against humanity.
What happened in the new series and how does it bring the denouement closer? Spoilers ahead
Eren Yeager, the 19-year-old architect of genocide (was there a younger villain of this magnitude in world culture?) decided to implement a plan to literally trample on humanity, built on the principle “Why do we need a world if there is no Eldia in it?”. The alternative was his half-brother Zeke’s plan to “euthanize the people of Ymir”, effectively sterilizing an entire race, which would deprive the world of the future of the powers of the titans and disarm Eldia and Marlia. Recall that Eren pretended to support the plan to disarm his own oppressed people, but secretly all this time, on the contrary, he nurtured the idea of \u200b\u200bdestroying the population of the rest of the world. Understanding his motivation, no matter how scary it may sound, is easy: is classic reactionism, because Eren seeks to return to the status quo in which he spent his own childhood. Then the monarch and the government of Paradise Island gaslighted the population, convincing them that they were the last survivors on earth. Mankind was allegedly exterminated by an external enemy – the titans behind the wall, but, as we found out later, the Eldians themselves placed the wall and the titans in order to isolate themselves. Now Eren intends to make this beautiful post-apocalyptic myth come true – he has at his disposal an uncountable army of the largest and most destructive titans, who are not a hindrance to either the ocean or the mountains.
A detailed description of the so-called Jaegerist ideas is not a waste of time, because the motivation of Eren, the former protagonist of the series, has been causing many questions among fans for several years. In fact, this is a repetition of the reaction to the finale of the Game of Thrones, where Daenerys flew off the coils, with the only amendment that the evolution (degradation?) of Eren took not several episodes, but several seasons. However, they have equally little support and rationale for violence within the plot. The last of the ideological Yeagerists, Flock, fell ingloriously in the new episode: he hid in the fuselage for several hours or days, only to do the last dirty trick (perforate the fuel tank) and be shot by Mikasa. Mikasa, in turn, took off her favorite scarf, once given to her by Eren. But she did not throw it away – either hoping to someday understand and forgive the closest person, or simply demonstrating a careful attitude to memory.
Not everyone draws the ideological boundaries between black and white as clearly as Mikasa. In a conversation with her, Annie, a spy who has spent several years in a voluntary coma since the first season, speaks out loud the most stunning and, at the same time, natural considerations of a person who is on the side of the aggressor and who believes that not everything is so simple.
“Marley will still be completely destroyed. After that, no one will ever forgive the Eldians. I don’t see why we have to save everyone,” she says, as if implying that the easiest way these days is to let Eren just go through with his plan.
Annie and Armin actually confess their love to each other: although if there were hints of such sympathy in the first season, it was very subtle. This can be attributed simply to front-line excitement: one way or another, their paths diverge, because Armin goes to fight, and Annie sails away to a distant country, a local analogue of Southeast Asia. A high-ranking interlocutor from this country expresses regret that all this time she put the benefit of her clan above all else and did not notice how she helped to happen the genocide.
Battles on the front, as expected from the several times postponed epic finale, look amazingly colorful and dynamic. The main action scene of the series is Hanji’s desperate attack on the colossus titans, giving the heroes the opportunity to fly away from the base, as a result of which Hanji dies, literally bursting into flames due to overheating of the UPM (a three-dimensional maneuvering device consisting of cables and rocket cannons). Here it is important to note the contrast between the death of this central heroine and the unnamed civilians. As it happens in war, not everyone can get a beautiful death to the sound of a licensed rock soundtrack. At the beginning of the episode, the inglorious death of nameless kid thieves from immigrant families is shown in detail. The flashback demonstrates the hypocrisy and psychopathy of Eren Yeager: it turns out that Eren accidentally met one of the children during a walk some time ago, after which he fell to his knees, burst into tears and began to apologize for future crimes. Despite the dramatic pose, it seems that at that moment Eren felt sorry only for himself – and his young interlocutor did not even understand what this stranger was talking about.
If there was a ghostly hope for negotiations between the last members of the reconnaissance detachment with a former comrade, then it disappeared after this series. Eren at some point gets into telepathic communication with the Eldians, but these are not negotiations, but a one-way radio message : he will not deviate from his plan; but it will not be a matter of principle to deprive other representatives of the people of Ymir, as he could do with the help of the newly acquired abilities of the founding titan. It is already clear that this conviction of Eren in the freedom of representatives of his own race as the highest value (in fact, an ideology akin to Nazism), ironically, will become his Achilles’ heel – after all, he left his former colleagues a chance to win. Or maybe the whole point is that on a subconscious level, as befits a psychopathic maniac, Eren dreams of being caught and stopped.
A minor plot twist in the episode is the discovery that Armin and Reiner are not Eren’s only potential winners. Falco and Gaby, Marley’s young warrior candidates, discuss a dream from Zeke’s memories (Falco became a titan thanks to his cerebrospinal fluid) in which he is flying above the clouds in the first person. Falco is sure that he can do the same. So far, though, nothing indicates that an air attack is a profitable tactic. After all, the fleet of airships, the last hope of the regular Marley army, Eren burns in a few minutes.
The final line of Armin, landing on the ridge of Eren’s giant skeleton, before the credits is: “Do you really think you’re free? We’ll talk when I get you out of your titan. ” It seems that even the soft and sensitive Armin has lost his last illusions and got rid of the bonds of toxic friendship. First victory, then talk. Well, it remains only to wish him good luck in anticipation of the final.
